nb: I have not used the site myself. It's listed on moneysavingexpert.com. If you browse to 6500 Tesco is listed.

nope it wont wok with O2, it will be locked to Tesco only and i'm sure there is no free unlocking for this and the min cost will be £15

I had the slide version of this phone and thought it was ok the software looked bit old with menus etc: yet seemed stable ...Ive got a 5800 on the way so wont be getting this though still its a good deal so voted hot :)

Also with comment on Nokia vs Blackberry im usually very careful with phones and rare they get any major marks on them yet i have a blackberry pearl which i dropped in the bath grabbed it out quick it still worked though buttons where bit tempermental for a month and i dropped it 20ft of a machine at work and it survived ...dont try it out yourself btw ! lol Yet i had the Nokia N95 and with no dropping or visits to the bottom of the bath, i had it go faulty and its earpiece wouldnt work making a phone fairly useless yet credit to Nokia they repaired it quick and worked fine afterwards.

Tesco run of o2, So it may work.

I used to have one of these a couple of years ago. Very stylish phone (I got a lot of comments on how smart it looked).
However its not very robust and its **** for sending text messages as the buttons are fiddly.

the nokia ive used for 18 months with no problems and has had a real battering is a nokia 95 !! my bbs were 8820s, orange told me it was one of their most reliable phones with very few returns ( 2 of which were mine and extremely well looked after). I'll post monday if it works with an O2 sim when mine arrives or the cost of an unlock and where from.

Loving your constructive, objective review.
I've had one over a year now. Great little phone - slim, good battery life, decent features, light - and a bargain at this price.

Tesco charge £25 for unlock code, but if you own the phone for 3 months they do it for free as long a you have topped up £25.
You could of course use the £20 you get free with the phone add £5 of credit you will then have £25 credit phone tesco mobile ask them to unlock they will take your £25 credit and phone unlocked for £5.

Good price, from what I heard needs charging everyday but I charge my phone everyday anyway.
#26
Had this phone. Nice Design, However the Backlight goes out after 10 seconds and it cannot be adjusted. Very Annoying:x, Trust Me
#27
The other week i think the guy at Tesco told me on the phone they charge £25 to unlock a tesco phone
#28
How do they charge for the unlocking code,do they take it off your credit or?

Quite simple, if you have topped up more than £25 during the phone's history and have been with Tesco Mobile for than 90 days then they will unlock the phone for free. Otherwise they charge a straight £25 fee.

I have the 6500 and it's simply pants.

The keypad is so small it's awful for texting and the battery life is abysmal. I can't wait to get rid of mine

Good battery life are you joking me? - This is the worst battery life I have ever ever had in a phone - Read the review sites before buying it - The battery lasts less than a day!

Hows that for constructive!
