Yes, I already read that.
Have you seen the news lately. Woolies looks like it's about to go under.
Shares have been suspended.
#7
They've been suspended because they are being bought out.
#8
Yeah, don't vote cold because Woolworths dodgy ordering system lets you add an out of stock item to your basket. They only put that Out of Stock message there for a giggle. They've got loads really.

MIGHT be bought out.

Changed to
Not currently available - come back later
#11
Add to basket locked out now on ordering screen and reduced to £50 just to rub it in....

They requested suspension of their own shares to prevent speculation about the sale (of the type you're engaging in) destroying the share price.
#13
is this instore too??

I guess the shareholders in Northern Rock thought the same. :whistling:

I'm quite interested in this deal... but is there any chance of there being any point in "coming back later"?
#19
Don't you just love it when a deals thread becomes a cat fight!!!

Only what the news said, besides there's nothing unusual about shares being suspended during takeover talks.

Anyway from your link: "Woolworths suspends shares amid frantic talks", like I said they requested the suspension of their own shares. It's not like it was forced upon them.

Speculation about what might happen only serves to make a bad situation worse - that's why they wanted the shares frozen, otherwise the share price plummeting would have killed them off as investors pull out in panic over media speculation.

nobody cares guys about the shares!

now, does anyone know if this is available in store?

I just called my local store and they have them in but at £69.99 - I asked about price matching with the website but they said they will not do this.
#24
the print off vouchers for woolworths, do they cover mobile phones?

You will if they go tit's up and your phone dies - then Caveat emptor ("Let the buyer beware") really becomes appropriate. Who's going to take it back if the store no longer exists.....

Ok maybe Nokia would step up in this case, but still.
#26
well there we go, Nokia would step in as the warranty is with them.

still want to argue in this thread and impress absolutely nobody?

Meh, not so much you've taken all the fun out of it. :giggle:

Still a good price for the phone.

Indeed. ......All Nokia phones come with an EU wide 2yr warranty. No need to go back to retailer as any Nokia carepoint or the freepost repair centre will repair FOC.
