I havent traded with this site so far, so cant answer your query tom_rayner. ;-)

Posting the correct claim on-time and by recorded delivery should be enough in most cases for successful claims.

Well I'm supposed to be sending my claim this month. I'm just a bit unorganised at the moment though so I may actually be a month late. :-( I'll let you all know how I get on in the feedback thread.

I have been tempted many times from the deals that Mobile Outlet offer but the feedback they have is very poor so always give it a miss:-( don't really want to go down the compliant and argument side to get my cashback

i am one of those customers they are trying to rip off by saying i need to send the despatch note for when the phone was ordered (as per their t/c). the t/c's they gave me at the time of the order makes no mention of that.

so be careful

Thanks lufupa for the feedback :)

Why are they asking for despatch note ?

Hello. I'm dealing with Mobile Outlet for cashback myself. If it's okay, I'll just copy below a post I made to The Motley Fool boards today. Hopefully it will help people trying to claim cashback from The Mobile Outlet.

(btw, this is the phone I ordered from them myself, six months ago. love it, but it's hard to fit into your jeans pocket!)

>>

Many people who have signed up for cashback deals with The Mobile Outlet have been having problems getting their cashback honoured, despite fully complying with the terms and conditions that existed when they took up their offers.

I received a cashback rejection letter myself yesterday. It said I hadn't fulfilled the T&Cs as I hadn't included the original dispatch note, despite inclusion of the dispatch note not being mentioned in my T&Cs (which I had copied and emailed to myself the dayI took up the offer).

If you have been affected by this, or if you know someone who has, or if you will be claiming cashback yourself from The Mobile Outlet some time in the future, please have a look at this thread over at MSE: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=130782

It starts to get juicy around page 3 or 4. Yesterday, The Mobile Outlet signed up and posted themselves, apologising for any inconvenience that has been caused and giving a dedicated email address to sort out the 'query'. This is their post: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=3164192&postcount=119

I emailed them the address they gave yesterday, and received an almost immediate response. After two short emails they have now – they say – initiated a transfer of my cashback to my current accout. If they have, it's a quick resolution.

I don't know what has finally lit the fire under their bums, however, I want to make sure that more people than just those who find and read the MSE thread can get help with Mobile Outlet cashback. If you can think of anywhere else on this board or others where the information would be useful, please pass it along.

Here is the comment made by MobileOutlet @ MSE

Hi Everyone,

We have read through the recent posts which have been submitted regarding the issue of dispatch notes not being included with cash back claims. We would like to clear up this issue and apologise about any inconvenience that has been caused. We have previously used an external fulfillment company who has dispatched our phones. It has become apparent that there was a period of time where mobile phones were dispatched with incorrect terms and conditions. As we were not aware of this until recently, this resulted in a certain number cash back installments being rejected due to not having the dispatch note as part of the claim.

If any customer has had this experience we can only apologise and we will rectify the situation for you. We have set up an email address for this query and any others which are raised by any forum member. Please email "][email protected] and we will endeavor to deal with your query promptly and ensure the correct outcome without having to wait the normal time frame of 28 days. I would like to stress that this method of rectification will be the quickest and easiest way to resolve this issue. Any customer who has still not received any response to letters regarding this subject are encouraged to use this email address, so that we can try and speed up the process of sending out any monies due.

Once again we can only apologise and stress the point that this was a genuine error which has obviously caused customers to experience a service level which is totally unacceptable. We hope by becoming an active member of this forum we will be able to help and deal with questions and queries moving forward. Customer feedback is very important and will be used constructively to improve our service levels over the coming months and years.

Many Thanks
Forum Queries Team
The Mobile Outlet

This is quite helpful if anyone had their claims declined for not including dispatch notes.

Thanks for the welcome, edi. I've posted here before a few times under a different user ID, but changed it when I realised that my full name and address were traceable through it.

Anyway, just to update, after using the email address given by MO in the MSE thread, a payment for the full amount of cashback owed (first six months) has shown up in my account this morning.

Hope this helps someone,

ch
(back to lurk mode ... now I've got the cashback, there's an all-in-one printer somewhere with my name on it.)
