my OF has this mobile and it is good to be honest. Solid steel build and 5mp camera and its flash are impeccable quality in Nokia's product range. The only thing I would have liked would be Hi-fi....

Myself and quite a few friends have had these for several months.

Battery life is very disappointing - needs charging about every 3 days whether used or not, turning Bluetooth off makes little difference, signal reception is poor compared to previous Nokias, display is easy to damage and not covered under warranty - just google it but at least replacement displays are on Ebay for about £15.

Real pity as the phone feels really nice.

go to littlewoods, very or additions and use the 20% off code and quidco, it worked out to be around £135 for me. its not unlocked though, only on o2.

Seems like a lot of money for a basic nokia imho.....Looks naff.

And 3 or 6 months down the line receive a bill from littlewoods/very/additionsdirect that you were not allowed to use the voucher code and pay the equivalent amount of money back to them...

what a crap chain of companies to deal with.....I dont trust them.

does anyone know if these come unlocked?

you can donate the £10 to charity if you won't ever use it.
#12
Seems to be the best deal for this phone at the mo.

How easy is this to unlock?
#13
these do not come unlocked, bought one myself
hard to unlock also, can only be done via network operator codes (2-3 days) £30
#14
sold out in the whole of the north west uk also, offers end today anyway
#15
This is a nice phone that I've been looking at a while - it's just a shame *everywhere* is out of stock - typical Argos deal then.
#16
superb 'basic' looking phone, and yes sold out everywhere :(
#17
Looks just like my nokia 6220 classic ive had for a while and has been broke for a while... lol same features pretty much just a little bit uglier. Certainly not worth this much, there a good range of phones but there so basic and for this money you can get some pretty smart phones.
#18
Bought this a while ago from Argos for this price. Looks superb and got lots of excellent features

I have had various other makes of phones over the years and from personal experience nokia are my favorite. Never had one let me down

on the subject of the topup voucher. It comes as a separate e-topup, and not preloaded onto the new sim, so is ideal to use on your current o2 sim, or give to someone else

I presume you mean you would have liked it to have wi-fi rather than hi-fi?!

This phone might not be touchscreen or have a slide out keyboard etc but it feels like a very premium well built handset.

Why don't you just have a charger by your bed and plug it in each night? It's hardly much effort.

£8 via cable, they used to be expensive, especially on 3 but now it's not an issue

It might be something to do with the deal being available for a while now, I remember seeing it at this price around 2 weeks ago at least

Yes, but you also forgot to mention that it takes about 30 minutes or so to fully charge from flat.

I have had this well built, quality, solid, feature filled, fast browsing phone over 6 months now and even my 2 kids under 3 havent broke the screen yet, and thats not through lack of trying.

Saying all that I would never "pay" for a phone, just get a contract. My £18 per month over 18 months will cost me £324 but that includes 200 any network mins, unlimited text and internet - great for browsing HUKD !

ok, can someone do it at home with a cable that costs £8 or you mean in a phone shop?
as they told me £30 via network operator codes only

Phone shop, think it's via cable and some box/software.

It was an expensive phone to unlock and a lot of places couldn't do it and maybe still cant, guess its of the shop buy the kit to do it, the 3 I called all said could now do it.

Called a few shops and most were £10 but one said £8 so got it done there.

Unlock and debrand was £15 I think they said

what phones shops did you call / use?
makes sense to use the same one, maybe i can mail it to them
