Does anyone know whether it is possible to have a Virgin PAYG balance transferred to a Virgin contract ?
All Virgin phones come locked. They used to unlock them for free but these days charge £15. Although, unlike other networks, they will sell you the unlock code straight away.
Yes you can transfer you're PAYG balance onto your contract. Virgin are also one of the few networks who'll allow you to use PAYG top up vouchers to pay your monthly contract bill with.
I used to buy £20 airtime vouchers on auction sites for about £15 to pay my contract with when I used to be with them.
In response to another question, this phone will not work on Skype with 3Three regardless of whether it's unlocked or not. Only official 3Three handsets work with Skype.
Site seems totally dead now
Typical.. I gave up in the end and ordered over the phone :x at least I got my 2 months free for being a Virgin customer which I'm not sure I would have got if I ordered online.
Could phone up to order...but oh wait. I can't because I'm on some ridiculous O2 payg tariff that costs a bomb, which is the whole reason I'm going for a new contract....Swings and roundabouts.
I'm on Virgin PAYG and am a very light user. Have broadband with O2 and would get a discount if mobile customer.....

nope - spoke to someone from O2 earlier to get my PAC code. I'm a low user (£10 a month simplicity 1 month contract) and the 5800 would be on £15/month for 18 months with half the minutes than this deal and there also is a payment for the handset.
TBH I am still undecided. It seems to be a good deal, but I usually spend less than £10/mth. Furthermore I believe the appeal point of these smartphones is to connect to the internet via 3G, but then it will cost an extra 30p/day or £18mth/contract.
Still undecided....:?:?:?

I tried to get O2 to match and best they could do with this phone at £10 per month was a 24month contract and 75mins 75 txt... PAC code it was then.
I didnt find on ebay and Vigrin has only red phones in stock.
It's got a chrome ring around the front edges and and looks lovely. Probably the best 5800 of the entire range imo.
There's also a Star Wars version aswell btw.
i went for the £18mth (250 mins/500 txts/unlimited web) - happy days
o2 couldnt deal match it.
thanks OP
