Nokia C6-01, 24 Month Contract - £10.50 per month @ O2

Okay bare with me, I haven't posted that many deals on here and those that I have, have been shot down in flames but, This is a 24 month contract for £10.50 a month which equals £252 and it is available on pay as you go for £249.99, so for £2.01 you get 24 months of 50 minutes and 250 texts, not a lot admittedly but good for light users. Also Im pretty sure you can get quidco or topcashback as well. This is on o2.

If people could please leave a better deal or a suggestion as to why this is bad if they vote cold, I'd be very grateful and I'm sure it'd be a lot more productive than just voting cold, thanks.

I'm not whinging, its just I posted this deal to help someone and voting cold for no apparent reason doesn't do that, I'm sorry if it came across as that way, I'm just trying to help thats all

I will offer support, that is a good deal for light users, you will always find people who give negative comments but that is what you get with freedom of speech.

Do not let it put you off :D

Not enough mins and no web allowance.

Cheers, been on this site a long time and realised I'm not really pulling my weight where posting deals is concerned, a lot of people have found some really good spots that have helped me out a lot so just thought I'd put this out there.

I would prefer to go for Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 from e2save then Nokia C6-01. Yet, heat added to the deal....

Well done, that is exactly what this site is for - keep up the good work (even if minimal lol) ;)

Hang on a sec. The deal as posted doesn't include any data allowance (that's £3/month for a stingey 100MB). Without data, there's little point having a phone of this spec - you may as well just have a cheapo "dumb" phone.
Anyhow, there are better deals (same money, shorter span, more minutes and free data) available from other networks.

It is optional to buy either 100mb for £3 or 500mb for £6 and I realise its not a great amount of minutes but for people who are mainly texters I thought it was okay as it is also possible to purchase additional texts for about £5. Mainly though this was posted as a cheap way to get the handset with a few minutes and texts thrown in, also I've heard that quidco are giving something like £90 cashback, which if someone could confirm i'd be grateful.

I realise that but I also realise that there are some who are faithful to o2 (am on orange myself) and don't like changing networks

OK, assuming you would be satisfied to have a Symbian phone for 2 years (which is a very big assumption) I cant see why anyone would want to get an internet-capable phone with no data allowance. Sure it has wi-fi but you WILL end up wanting to use your 3G connection sometime. And 50 minutes a month? Really? That's a bit over 1.5 minutes of calls a day. I think that the phone companies offer these cheap monthly "light user" plans in the confident knowledge that eventually you will either bolt on some data or extra minutes, raising your monthly fee, or they can screw you with their per-minute or per-MB data rates when you go over your limit. So cold.

If the main thing that is wrong with this deal is the tariff how come a phone with the exact same tariff is over 200 degrees or is this phone really that bad

A tip in life, dont pay too much attention to what anonymous people on the internet say.

Which should mean you shouldn't pay attention to this I guess ... hmm ... how about , only pay attention to good advice, and dont worry about everything. ;)

You don't have to change. Just call the company and point out that there are better deals from . It does need a small amount of research, but that's only 5 minutes - which out of a 2 year contract is nothing, except regret if you don;t try.
Every network will fall over themselves to not lose an existing customer. You could probably get the retentions guy to come over and wash your car every week, if you agree to stay. So just citing a specific example is enough to at least get a deal-match. if they won't play, then that just tells you how much respect they have for you as a customer - so you're better off out, anyway.

Voted hot & thanks. This is handy for me as I've now got 02 broadband & the mrs likes this phone & her contract is up for renewal. I can use the sim for work or give it to my parents, get this phone unlocked (for free via o2) and pop a better sim only deal on this for her.

The 'best' deal with data, texts & mins I've spotted for this phone is £18 per month - 300 mins, ultd texts & internet from carphonewarehouse. Any better deals than this post or the one I've spotted then please pop them down here.

Thanks for posting. For me on this tariff £252 minus £90 cashback minus £120 (24 months x £5 bband discount) makes this a very cheap phone.

O2s pricing policy is bonkers - £26 per month for 2 years for 300 minutes & ultd texts, only!

No data but a good price for a great handset on a low usage contract. It should not be confused with the awful C6-00, this one is S^3 and packs the same internal hardware as the C7, N8 and E7 but has a smaller screen and lower MP camera.

Has anyone manage to buy this phone?

I get through to checkout and I keep getting 'a package in your basket is no longer valid. Please recreate your order'

I don't get this error message once I add the £3 data 'the basics' to the order. Given this 'offer' is being stated as just lauched on the main page, then maybe the systems haven't yet been updated.

I got one but in the end didnt fancy the battle with TCB as after 9 days the cashback had not tracked so returned.
