so much headache!!! dont bother with it. garmin mobile xt works a treat with the internal gps and is really simple to install.

I tried route 66 ages ago, yep that was a nightmare, although seeing it youtube it was very similar to the tomtom i've got, only faster.

Love the Garmin software, my internal gps is really rubbish, NEVER gets a signal (wondering if it's damaged), tried it with my bluetooth gps and it's cool. One thing stopping me from reverting to this from my tomtom is the speed in which it recalulates your route if you go the wrong way. It's sooooooo sloooooow. Are you having the same problems ap123ap?

I can sign files (done a quite a few rotateme's for people, BUT the symbiansigned website is down, or only lets a few people sign them now). Try the Garmin.

mine doesnt seem to be that bad mate. i would agree that it isnt as quick as tomtom though
GPS signal is attained quite quickly, considering the GPS perfomance of the n95. mine is locked on orange so i cant get the lastest firmware update. if you can get it, it has assisted GPS built into it that will speed up GPS response considerably.
Hope this helps mate

it has all of the functionality that tomtom has apart from traffic updates.
No need for any sort of subscription

Mine is orange as well but i've been running V20 since November (3 days after it's V20 release), you can upgrade to V20, but it DOES void your warranty:

http://clear-nokia.blogspot.com/2007/05/nokia-n95-debranding-guide.html

It's pretty simple to do, done it 4 times for people now, all you have to do is change the orange product code to a generic (ir unbranded one) then run nokia firmware updater. NOTE: THIS IS NOT ILLEGAL.

However my speaker popped 3 weeks ago, paid 18 quid for a replacement, i could have tried the warranty people by changing the product code nack to the original orange, but the price it's going to cost me to get to a repair centre and the time scale just wasn't worth it for me so i went to the local phone shop instead.

Note: My GPS actually went worse after the update - hardly worked, when i had V10 it worked perfect, although it was started working better now (probabily cos i haven't used it constantly or something)

I've actually turned AGPS off, i've found it to be worse......?

Oh yeah the product itself! Seems good, but only good if your cigerette lighter is high up and in vision of your driving, so no good for me in my corsa as the lighter is near the bearbox! Heated anyway!
