What phone do you happen to have now in year 2011 since you posted EXPIRED - Looking for a very cheap (unlocked) mobile phone (to work with O2 sim)
Read the facts pal...By the time you reach 2016 when support is completely ceased, you'll would have probably changed handset many times. Do you think you'll be keeping this handset in 2016?

Nope only just the E6-00. Didn't know C6-01 model existed. Far too many model variations to keep up pal. Mobile phone technology is developing all the time. Nokia changes its naming conventions. Again.
Nokia E6-00 not been out that long, it's the current top-end candy-bar model, yet getting very cold for whatever reason. What's wrong with QWERTY phones? Looks like these days everyone will only have a touchscreen handset to been seen with.
My argument would be that accidents can happen, smash your touchscreen & can't see **** all to make a simple call for help, was that not the most basic function what a mobile phone should do in the first place. Let alone a very expensive screen to replace & been out of service for a while. Where as smash Nokia E6-00 screen & again can't see **** all but yet can make the simple calls.

b) the processor is out of date as with most nokias. at 680mhz you would be paying sub 100 on android/blackberry/ios
c) its very expensive for a phone this low spec

Belle is coming to all 1st gen s^3 handsets - as confirmed by nokia and the recent leak of belle for the n8 proved it more than sufficiently runs on the 680mhz cpu with DEDICATED GPU. This is not android where you need 1ghz cpus just the get the phone to run 2 apps without lagg - the core os is the best at what it does, pity nokia has messed around far too long with the ui. All graphical processing is done on the gpu, leaving the cpu free to multi-task properly. People think large numbers make all difference - which they only do to a certain extent.
A welcome upgrade for any nokia E6x, E7X or C5X devices wanting this form-factor, its a solid bit of kit great with a great screen, sat-nav and build quality. Only off-putter for me would be the edof camera as opposed to the af and the fact this thing is a finger-print magnet!

if nokia was that committed why did they outsourced the symbian support????
that should ring some bells. once nokia sees a light in their step of support wp7, i am sure they gonna dump the outsourced support.
