Great price , was also selling on 3 pay as you go some time ago for £99.99 but check what you get with orange as its a refurb and generally in my experience that means phone, manual and charger and thats it.

Can this be unlocked easily?.

Voted Hot!

Got an E61i, have tosay it's one of the best Nokia phone I have used ever!
#12
I left Orange because, despite being a customer since before they were orange (had a Nokia 101 with Hutchinson Telecom in about 93/94), they wouldn't upgrade me to an E61i, despite it being available to new contracts or upgraders on business tariffs.

The E61 is a great Symbian handset, but remember there's no camera. The E61i adds a camera along with other tweaks.

I have the E61 on 3 and can highly recommend it, fabulous for the internet.

#16
Is it push email like blackberry?
#17
Not that I know what it is (and I'm a software programmer!), but it says here that it supports push email
#18
What makes this better than something like the Sony Ericsson m600i?
#19
Erm, it doesn't take those cruddy proprietary Memory Sticks? :)
#20
Could this be used with wifi around the house just to view email without actually downloading it.

I currently use Mailwasher to view a number of pop3 email accounts on a laptop and delete the rubbish and then download the important stuff when at my office. Is there any similar open source software to Maileasher running under Symbian that could be used with this.

I'm not looking to use it as a phone just as a very compact email viewer.

I'm wondering the same thing. I've been searching for reliable places that can unlock an Orange Nokia E61 and not having much luck in finding one that appears to be trustworthy.

Just to add - I bought a reconditioned Nokia 6170 from the same site a couple of years ago, and was very pleased. It looked as new as it could be, and came with the normal box with all the stuff you'd expect it to have. I was also able to unlock it for free using some program I came across yonks ago, but that method won't work for the E61 :?

Nobody has mentioned Quidco - I think there's a good argument for £20 as it comes with a PAYG SIM.

I have had this phone for over a year . I use mine to run tomtom 6 , it works perfectly but you do need a gps reciever that will cost around £20. ( also nedd TT6 aplication from tomtom ebay)
It is wi fi enabled so you can surf the WWW at hotspots such as mc donalds , it reads web pages just like a PC but obviously the screen is very small so its hard work but ok for essential info.
It can be used as a VOIP phone too, www.truphone.com is an example.
It can be used for email, I use yahoo mail on mine.
It can be used for loads of other stuff too, for the nerdy check out www.mysymbian.com

The e61i is the newer model that has a camera and a few upgrades.

You're correct. It IS miniSD that these devices support.

It does say its reconditioned when I link to orange website. Although not bad. I've got my P990i running as sat nav/phone/PDA. I acquired tom tom 6 from the interweb and bought GPS from ebay.

No longer for sale by the looks, will have to scout round eBay if you still want one
