Nope....which is why this is still good.
#13
Thats a pretty good deal, I would go for this but already on a another contract.

Plus mins is also another factor. But yh overall sounds good.
#14
can the monthly line rental be reduced like in past deals e.g. RAF, discount rental, quidco ?
#15
Good deal and great phone. Not bad for £10/month and possible topcashback. 3 is a good network now do not be put off or listen to the negativity about them. They are good and getting better.

Three are the [email protected] company in the WORLD. I wouldn't join Three if it was free each month. You won't even be able to use 75 minutes worth of calls within a year, never mind each month. If you enjoy having every single call drop and speaking to Indians on the other side of the world to deal with every problem you encounter ( and you will have problems every day) then join sh1te Three. You have been warned. Do not waste your time and your sanity. There is a reason Three are cheap, it's because they are useless. Get yourself a couple of empty yogurt pots and a piece of string. You've now got a much more reliable phone than a Three mobile. Every single person I know who have used Three have had no end of problems with them. They are shocking!

Good deal, but can't vote hot purely because it's on 3.

I have 8 months left on my 3 contract but have put the phone in a cupboard and started using an o2 pay as you go phone. Not only is the signal unbelievably shocking, but their customer service leaves absolutely everything to be desired.

My local 3 store did a coverage check of my postcode and claimed i should be able to get full signal in and around my house.........i can get one bar if i put it at a certain angle on a windowsil in my front room and thats about it lol. As for their customer service, they claim that "our signal coverage strongly covers your area". So despite me using a 3 handset (3 skype s2) with a 3 sim card, they claim i don't have any grounds for complaint and refuse to cancel my contract under the service not being fit for purpose.

Anyway rant over, i just thought people ought to be aware of this before buying! I solemnly vow never to plough another penny into this company.

All my friends are on three and only 1 has had a problem with them :p
#20
seems to be a good deal
I have been on three for about 3 years now and never had a issue in the North east.
Seems 3's network is okay up north
Great to get the free internet too as I have to admit that without the net on my phone - it would never be used. lol

Maybe I am just lucky but I have NEVER had a problem with three's signal for the 2 years I have been with them. And their customer service even though based in india is more efficient and friendly than any UK based call centre and moreover unlike orange and vodafone (not entirely sure here) its free to call their customer service.

3 no thank's even for free :whistling:

im undecided now, seems there are fans and haters of 3. So, is the phone a good phone, that may make a difference and whats the free internet thingy? thanks

The only people that don't have a problem with Three are non customers and customers that do not use their phone. My brother has a Three mast basically in his back garden and he can't get any network coverage. He now uses his Three mobile to knock nails in the wall to hang pictures up.

My girlfriend has this phone and it's ok. Very limited though. If i was after a cheap Qwerty phone I'd recommend this phone (and network) over it:

i thought when the 3g signal is weak, you automatically roam in o2's 2g network?

do you have an option on your phone to select the cell or gsm mode?

My OH got one of this with 3, currently paying £15/month but has unlimited internet included. It's great for emails etc however I think this phone is useless without internet bolt on.

Not particulary. You will get people moaning about coverage on every single network.

Vodafone is free for pay monthly or a one off 25p for PAYG to call customer service.

3 have been great for me i live in a bad area for signals and 3 get full bars also been great service think they have improved 10 fold recently wouldnt hesitate to use them
#31
just don't expect to see the cashback, 3 are twits with an a for finding excuses to not pay.
#32
I was wary of the last three deal on this phone when it appeared on here but I've been pleased with both the E63 and 3s network so far. We also have T mobile and Vodaphone handsets in the house and the 3 one has the most consistent and reliable signal of them all...go figure! I'd say this was a hot deal...
#33
is this likely to come unlocked in case i want to use with a orange sim card?
#34
I am currently on an old contract with 3 which will end any day. Would I be simply able to ring them up and sign on for this deal? Also would I be able to keep my original number?
#35
75 mins pcm is pretty useless.

Its £23pcm for the more realistic 700 mix and match.
#36
This will be locked to 3, craigc85.
These still get over £100 on eBay, so a good deal.
Don't rely on 3's own coverage checker, have a look here instead... http://www.sitefinder.ofcom.org.uk/
Failing that, find out what friends and neighbours signal is like before buying. 3 have been
fine for us but it won't suit everyone.
#37
hot! been looking for a good contract deal, personally i dont have a problem with 3 and havnt had a problem with the signal.

bought new, the phone is worth £180 on its own!

Bare in mind the LG does not have 3G nor does it have Wifi if you are looking for those features to maximise surfing!
#39
Im considering this deal as i think the keyboard and free texts is good, i'm with 3 BB and asda payg phone at present, i need to find out the cost per min peak and offpeak to mobiles and landlines before taking the plunge ... ??

can these be tethered to a mac to use as a mobile broadband modem ?
