Use it for business. Or use it for pleasure. Either way, the Nokia E63 gives you the best of the mobile internet wherever you go. Get Facebook and Skype, plus all your web favourites. And this mobile has loads of great messaging options too.

If you like emailing, texting and web browsing when you're out and about, the E63 has just what you need. The large 2.4" display makes everything easy on the eye, and the Qwerty keyboard means you won't be wasting time with a fiddly keypad. Check out the 2.0 megapixel camera too.

Hot. This has went down £20 from when I got it a couple of months back. £12 qudico too when I bought it... may still be. As far as facebook goes - it's just the web version... no app as such. I have since installed an app (which doesn't officialy work on the E63 and it leaves a lot to be desired). I downgraded from a HTC Desire because I wanted push Hotmail (which Email on 3 gives) and it also has a better (not fantastic) battery life. There are a few (very few) decent apps to be had for Symbian too... Fring (IM) and Mobbler (Last.fm) are my most used. Great little phone for emailing and text... which is what I do most.

call 3 and ask for the code, it will cost you £15

Also there are a lot of interesting apps for it like call recorder (total call recorder + beep off), I had this phone for 6 months and I can say that it does worth every penny. You can convert it also to a sat nav if you buy an external gps antenna (around £20). There is also a very nice app called Blacklist, answering phone things that the new android phones don't have due to OS limitation

Three are a dreadful company to deal with. Haven't got time to go into details, but I only wanted a MiFi and they cancelled my order without any communication refusing to re-instate it or even talk to me.

Customer service people have a very poor attitude, the upper management promise to investigate and get back and never do. In short, the impression I got was they just do not care about the customer.

Now it's my mission to inform everyone how poor their service is.

may get one as i need a pay as you go phone when i go abroad, the N95 that i normally use for this purpose is on it last legs. (Theres only so much cellotape one can use to hold the battery in place) great find.

As the earlier post say i will need to get this unlocked...if i was dodgy i will get it unlocked by a person abroad. mmuuwahh

nice phone, might just buy it, got a spare 3 sim on contract with 6 months left.

Can get it unlocked over ebay but that requires you sending them the phone.

I've been with three for well over a year and any dealings with customer service have been helpfull... well at least as helpfull as any other company I've delt with! Like EVERY company... some users will have a bad experience.

I have to say I agree with this. I gave 3 a second chance after a bad experience and now wouldn't touch them with a bargepole. Nor would I accept any contract off them without written details.

They still phone me with contract offers, and I always say I'm interested, but as soon as we get to written confirmation - even email confirmation - it never arrives.

it says it does have wifi on this spec, but when i look it up on the nokia web site they don't have a category with wi fi listed.

Just to let people know ive got this phone and ive had a lot of trouble with it. It will randomly freeze and turn itself off, ive phoned up 3 and they say theyve had no other complaints about it but both my friends with it aswell have the same problem. One occasion it froze for about 24 hours i couldnt do anything with it. 3 as a network in my experience are useless aswell, one time of the day between our household we had 6 3 mobiles but had to change network now. Ive paid insurance to get treated the same as customers without insurance, they are really bad!

Why didn't you just set the Desire up for Hotmail Push Email ?
#16
if you want the best push e-mail service, the iphones have the best app for that.

Why didn't you just set the Desire up for Hotmail Push Email ?

Because at the time hotmail didn't offer activesync and as I was already with three, I'd get push hotmail for free with email on 3 which isn't supported on the desire. That's going off topic though... but Push email wasn't the only reason I sold the Desire... but again I wont go into it.

had the E61 for over a year. Slim and elegant. Works really well too. If the E63 improves upon it, then this is hot.

3 is a great network. For every 1 who has bad experience, there's probably 10 who have a great experience. Polite customer services and no nonsence sim only plans.

I only pay £15 for unlimited text, internet and 3to3 calls with 300 xnet mins.

How's that ? .. edit: dang! .. just saw the tesco mobile sim deal ... heheh .. that's hot!

have you tried to update the firmware ? With Nokia phones you can contact directly Nokia even if you lost the receipt. Most of their phones have 2 yrs warranty and if you lost the receipt you can check online if it is still in the warranty period (if you have no receipt the warranty will run from the date of manufacture).

so wish it was on 02
#22
you need three sim in for skype
you can call any skype user
if I know well skype calls are free if you are in a 3 network abroad (Italy has 3 for example) otherwise you need to pay for it.

thanks!

it is expensive for me

Very good deal with £12 quidco. I have this phone on contract with 3, during the 1st 2months it sometimes freezes and restart on its own, however now its fine.

HTC desire next for me once the current contract finish in 12months.

Wierd!
My wife's E63 had a similar problem.
Sometimes it lost network connection in poor coverage and you had to switch it off/on
before it 'found' the network again.
It seems to be behaving itself now. And it's not been updated, as far as I know.

id reccomend foneszone for unlocking, used them myself on BB bold 9000 a tenner and they were sweet to deal with
#28
A good deal on a very good phone. I'm another HTC Desire user who has gone back to my old phone. The Desire is excellent, but as I seem to have "fat finger syndrome" I just can't get by without a proper keyboard.

(BTW I had some problems unlocking the E63. Online unlockers couldn't generate a code for it on Three for some reason. I had to try 3 market stalls before I got it unlocked for £10)
#29
the unlock code is 15 if you call 3 and you dont loose the warranty!!!

#31
Anyone know of a diy/free way to unlock this?
#32

the only problem is that the fw version is newer than the other ones so you cant update it...
