Well worth it - this is much better than my old N95 - I love my new E63! Hot Hot Hot.

Well, I'm glad I held off and got my HTC Hero for £20 a month, because if I had have gave in, and got this for £18 a month only to see it so cheap in payg a couple of months later, I'd have boiled over in anger!

TBH it's £18 a month with £47.50 quidco and £30 R-A-F == £13.69 a month over 18

200 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet, unlimited 3-3 calls.

£81.99 / 18 = £4.56 a month. Where can i get an airtime agreement that will give me similar mins/texts/internet for < £9.14 a month?

Not being facetious - I'm actually looking for a contract deal at the moment!

That's exactly my thinking at the moment.

I'm currently using an LG Viewty on Simplicity, it's about £10 a month.

With the £15 a month deal (75 mins is ok for me), that's £15 a month, plus £32.50 Quidco, £30 RAF and £34 for my current phone = £173.50 over 18 months, which is £9.63 a month.

£9.63 a month for unlimited texts, unlimited internet, Unlimited 3-to-3 minutes, unlimited e-mail, Skype, plus I get the Nokia E63 for free! Or pay £10 to O2 for not many texts, no internet, no free phone, nothing.

At £9.63 a month, or even £11.52 if you don't factor in the price of recycling my phone, I can't find a better deal for that money

Fantastic reviews for the E63, as well. Especially here - http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/nokia-e63.htm

Excellent deal... £150 in most other places.. HOT.
#6
If you ordered this phone and found you didn't like it, you can recycle it for £87 - so you'd actually make a fiver!
#7

#10
Price shown needs to be altered back to 99.99 as quidco is not guaranteed.
On the up side good price for the phone just a shame IMHO that it is with 3.
#11
Can the phone be unlocked easily??

I own the handset and yes, you can play YouTube videos through the intergrated web browser. However, I prefer doing it through the official YouTube application which takes literally seconds to install (:.

Hope this helps.

great deal, just got this for my dad for christmas, will confirm if/when the quidco gets tracked or validated!

I cant complain about three PAYG tbh, my only reservation is the branding, ive read stories of certain menu settings being disabled such as only running on a 3g network (may cause problems for people going abroad)
#14
I got my order details through, and it says

Your price plan: 3Pay

What you pay: £8.70 per month.

I did the £10 top-up initially... but what is the £8.70 a month???

Does this phone have any Three branding on the case?
#17
when your using threes pay as you go sim , if you port across any other mobile number they give you a free 10.00 top up , i simply used a vodafone pay as you go sim, put the voda sim in a phone , then called voda 5 mins later asked for pac code ,which they gave me over the phone , called three , then gave them pac code , 3 days later 10.00 free top up , i'll use this threes 5.00 2gb internet a month deal , as i often use my phone as a modem for my computer , e63 excellent deal , excellent phone, i have e63 and 3gs iphone , e63 does things a iphone cant / they wont let you do , such as none wifi sip calls and for inbound sips calls on none wifi (without jailbreaking it of course) plus e63 multi taks better than a iphone !!!!

My husband will be sick when he gets home from work. lost this phone last month but still has 12 months left to run on his contract with 3. They wanted £130 for the same phone (one that has been "fixed" so not even new) and he had to extend his contract for a further 6 months. (paying about £20/month) He did not want to extend his contract so he paid £123 for the same phone off ebay (2nd hand) which works fine. Soooo he will be gutted when he see's this price.
So HOT HOT HOT from me.
#19
never had a problem with quidco and 3, always worked for me.
#20
The E63 is also available for free on £15 a month contract from Three with 75mins, unltd texts and internet, 3-3 calls, etc. If you don't mind being on contract I'd say that is a better deal overall as Three don't seem to have very good PAYG deals (text bundles, etc). I just worked it out and spending the same amount on PAYG as the total 18 month contract cost (£270) would only give you the equivalent of 100 texts a month.
#21
I used to have the E71 which is the same as this but has a camera. I had no complaints whatsoever and the full qwerty keyboard is brilliant. The camera was so so on it anyway so would have preferrred this overall.
#22
Does anybody know if you can use Skype video with these phones when using Skype?
#23
Does anyone know whether there is 3 branding on the case? How easy is it to unlock?
#24

yes but only with the third party app called Fring (also lets you use wifi), however I believe there isnt a front camera on these, i think the e71 on three does mind.

Yes that phone is locked to 3 network and yes you can unlock it as well, you just need to pay £14.68 to unlock the handset. Once you receive the handset you can call customer service and they will unlock the phone for you.

You OBVIOUSLY havent bothered to look into this properly.

When you top up £10
you get:

300 free texts
150mb internet
unlimited 3-to-3 calls
Free MSN
Free Skype
If you buy a £3 payg email add on you have unlimited emails.
£10 credit to use towards calls / texts if you exceed the 300

All that above stuff lasts for 3 months, AND you get it as soon as you top up!!!! no waiting 1 month like all other networks. :whistling:
So yeah, three's payg plan is the best out of all the networks.

OH AND if you top up £15 you get double texts, so 600 :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

But actually, everyones better off getting a 30 day rolling contract
£10 - 100 mins , unlimited texts, unlimited 3-to-3 calls, free msn , free skype, free voicemail
£15 - 300 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited INTERNET, unlimited 3-to-3 calls, free msn, free skype, free voicemail

Oh and you can even set a credit limit for FREE on your account so you cant overspend, unless you go abroad.

I have a 5530. great phone, but debating whether to get the e63 and go back to something more standard. No real reason, other than just bored with the touch screen thing! 5530 does have better camera and video capability which swinging it back in its favour...

Anyone who has this phone, can you use a "Skype in number" with it? I used to have a "local" phone number that I bought on Skype, that allowed people to call you on. Can you still buy and use a Skype in number?

Did you get to the bottom of the £8.70/mth charge business? Has anyone else had this, or understand why this charge has been applied? I'm tempted to go for this offer but don't want such a monthly charge.
#36
I didn't have the 8.70 charge, said £0.00

OP - excellent deal, I've been looking for an E series at a good price
#37
this is a brilliant phone

cheapest querty keyboard wifi

I have one and installed Fring which supports VoIP + a whole other bunch of IMs like Skype, MSN, Yahoo, you can use VoIP over WiFi for outgoing and incoming calls, it's like having a separate line on your phone, best VoIP i use at the moment Localphone

hope the above is helpful for someone looking for this, othereise phone is brilliant

aaa...also 2 very useful features for me, the camera flash is also a white torch by long press 0, and has the standard headphone jack you can plug into your car and play mp3s or take calls via the car speakers the phone is good enough to put it in the cup holder and just talk
#38
