I know 3 has a limited number of fans but since my first contract 18 months ago I have found that their coverage has improved greatly.

Anyhoo this seems like a good deal on a critically approved phone if you prefer to use your phone for texts and tinternet 'stead 'o talk.

Online the deal includes 500MB of data but by calling 3 I was offered 1GB - can't be bad for £15 a month.

I think you may be getting cold votes as 3 is bad for customer service and have very rude sales people who constantly cold call you.
I must be lucky - no cold calls in 18 months and customer service fine
Been a 3 customer for a year now, this week got 1st call from them trying to get me to take an WiFi dongle at £17/month with free netbook. Sounded like an Indian call centre, I usually just hang up but she was funny(style of Fonejacker internet service providings) let her go on for a few mins then said no.
As for 3 coverage can't fault. In my business premises I can't get coverage with O2, TMobile or Orange, Voda is OK but perfect reception on 3.
Terrible outfit. The mobile internet is about 0-50kps.
You also get loss of service (especially when driving) as it keeps falling back to Oranges 2G network and back.
I have had a 3 mobile for a couple of years as it was such a good deal and kept my long standing vodafone for reliability and signal. recently at home in a basement flat in London the 3 phone has full signal and the vodafone has gone awol.......
I took out the E63 last christmas for my lad, free phone 150 mins unlimited txt unlimited data unlimited 3 to 3 for £10.00 per month

push them it was £15.00 contract but gave me a £5.00 discount and free data but we did have 2 phones with them at that time

Three have the best 3g coverage in the uk.
The only reason it would fall back to Orange in the event that no 3g coverage is available
IF... you have Three coverage where you need to use your phone then Three gives the best value for money of all the networks. In two and a half years I have never had "cold call" - because I opted out! I get texts occasionally, as I requested. Service and support have always been good been good as I can understand a Hindi accent better than I can understand Scouse or Glaswegian. I can upload files faster from my phone or 3G modem faster than I can from my desktop on Virgin Cable!

If you're still in one of the increasingly rare places where you can't get Three (when did you last check?) then you'd be well-advised to go with a different network, obviously.
