This is a great price, for what is a great spec phone. It's a downgrade of the Nokia E71, but lacks certain features (HSDPA, GPS, no metal body, 2mpx camera), - but retains *most* of the key features that made the E71 great. I think this is great if your on a budget, and need a nokia smartphone (that still looks quite nice in my opinion)

I think it's locked to the Virgin network, so probably have to unlock this yourself at some shop.

Found it sim-free for £165 too (save £30, £125 + £10 unlock fee at a local shop) at another website.

Nice find,One thing to mention about the E63 is that it has a 3.5mm headset jack compared to the E71s 2.5mm jack

I would say definitely locked.

if the phone is locked to virgin they usually charge £15 for the unlock code.

Get this unlocked online, its really easy to input the code, pay 2.99 instead of £15. same results.
Phone will display: Simlock deactivated.

I didnt know that. But the build quality on the E71 is just so much nicer, the E63 feels...cheap.

You mean brand new and with 12 months guaranty? doubt it:thinking:

I bought one off ebay at 110 pounds. It's new and unlocked, really a bargain.

I used E71 before. The E63 is lack of GPS and has only 2MP camera. But it's ok for me, particularly E63 has a better keyboard and 3.5mm earphone socket.

Virgin has this offer for a while but it is not tempting me because it's probably locked to Virgin.

I personally wouldn't buy mobiles off ebay (even brand new ones off 'suppliers'). This may not be applicable to you, but I bought a brand new Nokia N82 off ebay from a UK based seller with a thousands of sales and feedback.

A couple of months later it developed a fault, brought it to a Nokia Service Centre for a free warranty repair - but found out I'm not eligible since it wasn't created in Europe (European Warranty) and was bought in South-East Asia. I would have to pay for a repair because the warranty isn't valid. The seller bought cheaper stock abroad, to sell in the UK.

I might be wrong here, but isn't Virgin Mobile run by T-Mobile, so no need to unlock if on T-Mobile?

The blue E63 has been 125 for a while with VM, but I've been holding out for the E71 because it has GPS. I'm tempted by the black E63 though.

I have an unwanted brand new one on 3 that I want to trade-if interested see my ft thread

Very tempting, but I'm holding out for an E72. It's finally due out next month, just in time for when my next upgrade is due, which is nice.

Thats the best thing. I would only recommend the Nokia E63 for
a) cheap upgrade for a low cost tariff, or
b) relatively cheap PAYG Nokia QWERTY Smartphone (this is basically only one really from Nokia)

Yes, up to 8GB Micro SD.

I bought this phone a few days ago, very pleased with it, was on Virgin network anyway so ideal.

back in stock now

wondering if the smartsim will work in this phone
#32
Does this phone come with Virgin branding on it? I presume it has operator logos when the phone starts up, but I'm wondering about the handset itself.

I highly recommend the following web browsers operamini 5 and skyfire both work really well.

For anyone who got the E63 and needing the data cable I bought a Nokia one for £1.48 Inc free Delivery from Amazon, it arrived the next day works a treat and is branded up "Nokia".

And for 16 cool free themes click here oh don't forget about Zedge for free ringtones and sms tones without any hassle.

But my fave thing is turning the E63 into a wireless router by downloading and installing for free JoikuSpot Light it works perfect for me and my net-book.

Hope someone finds this useful :)
