The deal is chealer instore, you get a Nokia E72 in silver, for £54.99 (£89.99 online) when you sign up to an 18 month contract at £18 per month, giving you 150 minutes, 500 texts, and free unlimited internet for the duration. This is a total cost of £379.

The phone itself costs £359:
http://www.nokia.co.uk/find-products/all-phones/nokia-e72

So you get one and a half years of all that lovely internet, minutes and texts for £20 in total!..

In more good news, having got the phone home it is a totally non branded unlocked phone, with a 4GB HCSD card.

The same deal online the phone costs 89.99 (£30 quidco availible) thanks to SHAMI for the original post:
http://www.nokia.co.uk/find-products/all-phones/nokia-e72

Went instore having found this and found a cheaper deal!..

Also, there is a contract that costs less than the phone alone, the 12 month £15 a month contract (50 mins, 50 texts) the phone costs £164.99 intore or online - total contract cost is therefore just £344.99! Not sure why yu would want this phone with no internet though.

The phone itself is stunning (so much better than the dummy version) it is all metal (so much sleeker than the E71) and has a wicked trackpad.

Phones limited seem to offer a variation of the lesser contract - only £10 per month but for 18 months, with a phone for £154.99. And 100 mins, 100 texts, also on virgin.

Another stonking deal on this phone, undercuting buying the phone outright. Still would go for the £18 per month internet deal with the lower upfront cost myself.

What network do virgin use?
#3
vodafone I think. Seems to work very well in London!

They piggyback Tmobile:)
#5
T mobile, it's asda mobile that uses vodafone
#6
Ah silly me. Thanks for the info!
#7
Cheers for the info guys, Tmobile aren't great where I am so I'll skip this.
#8
I love my E71 so anyone getting this won't be disapointed

Was gonna buy until I read this:

Unlimited web access for 30p a day You only pay on the days that you access the Internet from your phone.

I was touring Scotland last summer and I may as well have had a Dime bar in my pocket most of the time. Huge swathes had no Virgin (TMobile) reception at all. I was able to see other available networks (which I couldn't use!) and TMobile is definitely the worst of the lot.
#11
to be clear the deal is 18 unstore or online and internet is unlimited. It is 30p a day if you get a virgin phone without internet!..

Phone is 90 plus 30 quidco online or 54 instore, so instore is the cheapest. Get this deal if you have good t mobile reception or if you were thinking of buying the phone sim free, as you get an unlocked unbranded phone!

Cheers - hot deal! Phone consistently gets good reviews online, such as play.com...

I'll second that. The E71 is a superb phone. Presumably this is as good/better according to reviews.
#15
tempting but i'll stick with 8900 curve, i had e71 before that but was getting tired using symbian and looking at the 320x240 display. voted hot though
#16
Not a brillant deal, i got the e72 2 months ago with 900 mins, unlimited text and internet and landline calls from vodaphone for £25 a month on a 18 month deal and the phone was free
#17
i can't see anything like that availible on vodafone, please post a link if you have it as would be useful to a lot of people.
#18
Has anyone managed to find anywhere to get this offer but with the phone in black?
#19
Great deal, tried to get it a little cheaper being an existing V.M custumer but no chance 18x£30 (months) for more mins 500 and unl txt but £299 for the phone! That makes this deal HOT,Hot,HOT

I called them up and thats the best they could offer, they refused to go any lower, online its a fixed price whereas if you call CS they can do it cheaper for you
#22
Haven't voted but IMO there is something seriously wrong when people are prepared to pay over £100 for a mobile phone let alone almost £400.
#23
I just got the same phone but black for free from Mobiles.co.uk.
24 month contract on orange at £30 per month but you get 12 months half price line rental by redemption. ( Which brings it down to £22.50 over the full contract )

1200 mins
unlimted texts
500gb internet

Also £50 back through quidco

Brilliant Deal!

Yes, good deal for one of the best Nokia smatphones.
#27
I went in today but they said they weren't offering anything of this sort. Great deal - but perhaps a one-off?

That is bizarre, the phone was new in stock and the prices were clearly given in their latest brochure....

Think you might have been misled in the shop - have a look in their latest brochure with all the phones..

Have to agree with justingalore - I did go into a Virgin Media store on Sunday (after seeing this thread) and they did have this deal. The deals where the handset was free were the same as on their website though, so I didn't bother buying instore. As mentioned by others, existing PAYG customers are getting 2 months free line rental. So the offer I posted is £400 inc extra mins. Haven't ordered anything yet, as I'm wondering if its possible to combine QC with the 2 months free as suggested by some in the HD2 thread....probably not, though that really would be a good deal (for me anyway!).

It was at the Westfield Shopping centre branch in Shepherds Bush that the assistant knew nothing of this deal. Hmm, perhaps I'll try ringing a a different store...

That's if impatience doesn't get the better of me and I just go for the online deal at £89.99. Weird how it's actually cheaper instore.
#31
Just as a follow up - I rang up Vodafone and asked if they had any cheaper tariffs for the Nokia E72. I've ended up with £20 a month, 600 mins, unlimited texts and internet (500 MB) for the first 21 months, £30 after but I can upgrade after 22 months. 24 months but overall, better than the virgin deal imo.
