they don't have phones out, just cards you take to the till to get them.
Didn't have any network logos on the card so assuming SIM free but do your own research.

If they are Country Variant version you can get Denim update that adds Contana.

I have cortana through saying I am in the US .... but does anyone know when it is coming out for this phone in the UK?

Don't care if it makes me feel dumb if someone pops in - 'it's out already' :)

It's out for anyone on WP 8.1.1, which is available for the CV 520. Not sure on carrier branded ones.

Just get Developer Preview! oO

You don't have to wait for anything....and you get all the latest updates and refinements.

Cortana still not out for 1020 UK which is disappointing. Should be within the next month. I made my 1020 into an American version and Cortana worked, but she couldn't understand my voice. Heat added for op

I honestly don't understand why you aren't just using Developer Preview?! Microsoft made the Dev Preview to help get around the sloooow carrier approval process. So why not use it?!! It takes all of 5 minutes to sign up for Dev Preview....and then you'll have a flurry of updates come through.

I have had Cortana for months now - and start screen folders!

The 530 is crap though, the screen is horrendous.

The quad core processor is the only plus point over the 520, everything else is a downgrade:

Graphics processor is Adreno 203 instead of 205 (slower)
No Proximity Sensor (to detect face)
No Ambient Light Sensor (for automatic brightness)
Lower internal storage (4GB vs 8GB)
Camera has no auto-focus (impossible to take close-up macro shots)
There is no hardware camera button.
Camera cannot record HD video (480p vs 720p).
The 530 can't even play HD videos, the video lags behind the audio.
Build quality is worse (no soft touch plastic on battery cover = cheap feeling)
The screen is awful (TN vs IPS, which means it's washed out, has poor viewing angles, poor contrast)
On screen buttons mean that the usable screen is actually smaller than the 520.

The 520 is a great buy at £50 in my opinion. The 530 is only a great buy if you can get it for £15-£20 (often this price at CPW)

I'm on my fourth Nokia 520. Truly a flimsy phone, the screen shatters if you sneeze. I work for a cheap-ass company that provides this phone as standard issue.
2 days ago, an update occurred, which wiped out everything (videos, contacts, apps)
Cant wait to be rid of it.Good price for 2/3 months usage though...

Ever heard of using a case?!
Also, I have had my 1020 go through 7 months of software updates. Never lost any data or had any unexpected issues.
I'm putting your experience down to driver error ;)

Im with you. if its not apple its not worth buying. I don't care how much better everything else is I just want the apple name on it and when they say their stuff is the best I believe them.
Everyone else is just ripping apple off, Using illumination to see the screen for example. Apple invented illumination. (and sound)

Driver error- perhaps. If a company provides me with a phone, I expect it to provide a cover. If not, suffer the consequences.

Compare it with my other phones:
Business Blackberry for 5 years - screen never broke
Hauwei cheap personal phone: Screen hasnt broken in over a year

Couple it with the fact that when I went into the IT room, there were 6 maybe 7 Nokias with the same problem- cracked screen.

Dont worry about my review, please buy the phone, it's cheap. I used to love Nokias- about 15 years ago.

520 is a decent phone.. owned it for a year. pretty decent offline navigation which helps when youre off the beaten track.

530 has a lot of weaknesses compared to the 20. One I cannot stand is that the camera doesnt support autofocus. Moto E and I think HTC 510 have the same affliction.

and yes get the preview / load denim on it if youre itching for the cortana functionality.
