Saw this today as ive just given notice on my Virgin contract, (hooray) Nokia Lumia 635 is 4G ready diffrent contracts but one i picked was:-
750mins Talk time
5000 Texts
2Gb data
on a 24mth contract.
Plus if you have a family member you get an extra allowance (250mb data) and tesco Clubcard ponts.

Your monthly bill is made up of two payments, covered by one monthly Direct Debit.

A phone payment
For the cost of your phone

A usage payment
For your minutes, texts and data

A new type of contract
At the end of your 24 month contract, you stop paying for your phone and just pay for your monthly usage - saving you money on your monthly bill compared to most contracts.

And if you want a new phone before your contract’s up, just pay off whatever's left of your total phone payment. Then choose your new phone and start again.

I know its not Android or Apple so apps will be less, but its got what i want so im happy!

Tesco Mobile uses O2 network.

i was looking into this deal the phone is basic if you compare it to Nokia 925 is an older model its still more powerful with 16gb inbuilt i get that but the 630 feels almost like the 520 it comes with 8gb and a card slot to take up to 132gb same 4.5" screen but lot fewer pixels suppose I know what I wanted. the three deal albeit refurbished from 14 deal cooling off period wins hands down unless you get a poor signal.

not voting it down as it is a decent price for the minutes and data just the phone let it down for me

I know what your saying, but anything is better than the HTC Desire C i had with Virgin, Virgin have changed their plans and have gone expensive have aimed really at thier customers who have elready TV/telephone/broadband package!, so it was a goodbye from me

So how much are they charging for the phone? And can you buy the sim deal on its own? The phone can be bought for £99 from Carphone warehouse on payg upgrade.

Tesco mobile customer service is very good, just a shame that their signal in my area is poor, plus there's no 4G in my area. Good deal tho. Heat
#6
They have the Moto G 4G LTE for £16 per month on the same tariff .
#7
Phone costs around £140 iirc.
#8
I would go for the Moto G as a better phone... however, really like windows phone os! Heat added - I am on Tesco mobile and apart from one blip it has been good

I would buy the phone straight away if it had a flash camera. Is this the middle ages again? Flash only in the flagship model?!
#10
The Tesco Sim-only deal for this is good too, 750 mins, 5000 texts and 1GB of 4G Data for only £10 a month (12 month contract)

It boggles the mind why on earth Nokia/Microsoft seemingly purposely hold back from making any device perfect. All 930 needs is a microSD slot...all 630/635 needs is flash. Cutting costs my foot, it would literally take an extra 10p or so to add these features when they are mass producing by the (hundreds of) thousands like they do. £10 phones have these features...

It always seems like they miss ONE feature that stops it being conclusively better than the last generation. Yes the CPU might be better, Yes WP8.1 might need less resources than WP8, but 512mb RAM is 512mb RAM and whether capable or not many games are coded specifically not to support.

Rant over... Hot deal! X) ...but I'm waiting for 930 :p

Just buy 620 for fraction or 630 price. Has flash, microSD slot, same resolution, nearly as fast as 630 and front camera for Skype.
So the answer is - Microsoft is not holding back. It makes it worse and worse. For purpose.
The one and ONLY thing better in 630 is Bluetooth - 630 has low-power BT 4.0. Not enough to justify paying for a new phone. New and worse.

The 930 misses off the glance functionality as well as having no micro SD slot. :(

Where can you get the 620 for a fraction of the price? Doesn't seem to be available in many places anymore and where it is, it's selling for £100-120. Also worth mentioning that the battery life on that phone was awful; the 630 has a considerably higher capacity.

I know the Nokia Lumia 635 is a basic phone, i was more interested in overall deal and the fact its 4G!. Ive used mobiles on 3G and its painfully slow so hopefully 4G will be better.

Last price I paid was around £70
And don't know where you seen information about higher capacity, but someone is apparently lying to you.
Both have 512MB RAM, 8GB storage and microSDHC slot.

But the deal is for the 635 which comes with 4G, the 620 is only 3G.

Yes! 620 is what I have and I like it a lot, but would like to upgrade. I ran into the inevitable problem of 8gb storage getting full to the point the phone needs a reset (and then works fine with a good 2gb+ spare after restoring the same apps). I fear 32gb without an sd slot could end up the same if I choose to put a load of music and videos on. It's been a long time I have used a phone that didn't have expandable storage for my media files.

Yeah :(
I have been using the Glance-like feature since Nokia C6-01, it would be a shame to lose it but I'm hoping it's something I could eventually live with (and just press the power button each time instead). I'm starting to think 620 will be like 5800, where so many "better" models come out after it but none are overall as satisfying to use...

I meant battery capacity: 1300mAh in the 620 vs 1830mAh in the 630. I know that doesn't necessarily equate to real-world battery life but reviews suggest it's a problem on the 620.

620 can last a good 6hrs but its standby time is good.

My own meaning of "upgrade" word is "to change it for something newer AND BETTER". Hence 630 is NOT an upgrade to 620. Just for myself, personally.
And I'm not alone saying it - some journalists recognize 630 as direct upgrade to 520, not 620, which makes perfect sense: no flash, no front camera etc.

Do the navigation apps work properly on smartphones? do they use a true GPS signal or are they just guessing were you are using wifi or signal coverage. on my phone I have enabled GPS but it also tells me I need to enable wifi, if I don't enable wifi it puts me way off from where I'm actually located. How does enabling wifi work when surely I am only allowed access to my own home router? can it access other people's routers just to get a location despite not having there wep key?
