Thanks, i thought it was pretty good as on giff gaff atm with an old iphone and this will save me money and you get a free phone worth £110... although less minutes!

Yes, it's a very good deal considering the phone itself is £150+ on Amazon.

With reference too:

Please tell me what is 250mins of data ?
#5
sorry mb of data, bit of a typo ill adjust the listing.
#6
250mb of data will not get you far. Sure it's low cost per month but surely you would need more than 250mb per month to make full use of the phone? When you consider it is designed for cloud storage it doesn't take many photo's to be uploaded to Skydrive, many mp3's to be streamed from Zune/ Spotify etc or Apps to be downloaded before that 250mb limit is reached.

I'm not saying this is cold, just that the tariff does not seem to match the phone it is paired with.

yeah i see your point.. i posted it to obviously share the deal with others but also get an opinion on these basic contracts, im beginning to think im better off with the £10 giffgaff deal :p

My wife's 500mb lasts about 20 hours of watching streaming films .

Just ordered and waiting for confirmation. Bargain. Good reviews. Thanks for posting and costing me more money! :D

Bargain deal and great for kids as long as data is kept in check.

Factually impossible, that's 25MB a film and compression technology is simply not that advanced

Paying £15 a month for pretty much the same deal :( Great phone, only downsides are not the best camera and you can't bluetooth files for some reason. But Whatsapp kind of makes this a non factor.

250 mins, 5000 texts, 500mb data

would probs be better off paying the extra £2.50 for double the data and mins.
#15
... I think the data usage is 3g. wifi in ur house is free. So cloud sync then. You may be able to use other wifi - check ur contract with mobile and home broadband

No comments yet about the 8GB of storage or lack of Windows Phone 8?

I'm astonished.
#17
maybe because its a brand new phone for under £200 with minutes texts and data. over 2 years.

Looks like £60 from quidco for new contract sales.

No that's 25MB per hour not per film - still don't know if that is possible but I can read and do sums.;)

What about simlock?

just got this for my daughter - excellent phone, great price for a cheapo contract (she usually texts rather than talks), got £65 quidco - it went down to £60 today which means for me the phone costs £115 over 2 years. Bargainous.

Well, there's 7GB of SkyDrive if you want it. If you're not storing your entire music/podcast collection on there then it's comfortably enough - even with the OS on there.

Speaking of which, this is still a great deal - and it'll get the 7.8 update. Over 100,000 apps (and getting higher every day) means there's no shortage of content. But a phone for what it is, not what it might get.

What about simlock?
Why would this matter on a contract?

Why would this matter on a contract?

Because For some like me this is a cheap way of getting a phone interest free, don't need the Sim or contract but need a phone

Thanks

Oh I concur wholeheartedly, what I was getting at usually people forget this is a great phone for the price and usually bitch and moan about those two issues.

Then you're vastly over-paying for it :\

With quidco 60 not too bad :) tis interest free, agree at full price it is a waste if you are running another sim at the same time

This phone is available for under 100, stick a giffgaff goodybag on it for a tenner a month, unlimited data texts and 250 minutes now that is a bargain!

NEW WIFI HOTSPOT FIRMWARE NOW AVAILABLE FROM VODAFONE FOR LUMIA 710. (NO 7.8 UPDATE YET)

Have a Nokia Lumia 710, on Vodafone. Had just installed the lastest update just released today, which gives the Nokia Lumia 710 Wifi Hotspot Capability. Update went fine using Zune Software (using Win XP SP3 (Have Win7 also, but didn't use it)

Its fairly long winded, several restarts of the phone (I lost count there were so many! 5-6?). The Progress is shown by a horizontal white bar which appears near the top of the Lumia screen, progressing left to right.

Needs a fair bit of patience, took around 1.5 hours all in, including backup.

Problems found: If you change the Hotspot Name, the phone needs to be restarted to prevent two Wifi Hotspot names (the old one and the newly named one), Tested the Wifi Hotspot, worked but only have GPRS at home.

Note:This update isn't the Windows 7.8 Update, but Hotspot Functionality, is pretty useful extra, probably more so than an an cosmetic updated start page. Still its a feature that should have been there from the start.

Windows Phone is work in progress, but saying that - a welcome feature add-on.

That's much less of a bargain if this is sufficient mins, texts and data for someone's needs as that's £340 compared to £180.....

Pay £2.50 more and get double mins and double data

I am considering moving from Android to this phone - I cannot find any app to monitor data/min/txt (similar to Android 3G watchdog). Is there anything out there?
#31
Great deal, always thought windows phones were quite good. But, and it's a big but, Talkmobile are dreadful. Vodafone's signal that they use is dying, Talkmobile's customer service is second to useless,so if you'te thinking of using Talkmobile, don't!
#32
Nah. Voted cold. G300 is much more VFM.

Nokia has one coming for their Lumia phones but it's in beta at the minute

I use the Nokia counters app. Simplicity itself.

I don't tend to see WP7users/fans swarming over each other on Android deal posts trying to diss the droid, yet the opposite seems to be the case quite often with WP7 deals.

I'm wondering if the droidslaves could be good little sheep and clear off to their own little worlds, leaving us folk who love WP7, and those genuine people who are interested in finding our what proper, inherent, buttery smoothness is, to enjoy our social intercourse.

Not a lot to ask chaps, is it?

Now go on. **** off.

just bought one, looks like a good deal plus quidco works out roughly 5.50 a month and a free phone bargain
#37
Cracking price for the phone, was looking at this phone about 3 months ago, but deals were £20 plus per month. If you only need the small amount of minutes & data then worth the £7.50, but I think I would rather pay the extra £2.50 for the extra minutes & data http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/nokia-lumia-710-blue-pink-10-pm-250-mins-5000-texts-500mb-data-carphone-warehouse-1284677#post15218871

Anyone know if this will be available in store? (I know you won't get quidco), it's for the mother-in-law so would be easier if she could setup phone in store.
#38
These are ultra easy to set up. Would be no need to do it in store.
#39
do quidco no longer have a restriction on cashback for web exclusive deals?
#40
Does anyone know if you can lock the account? So you can't spend more than your allowance.
