#5
what's the voltage and amp output?
#6
This is good, mine broke not long ago, cant believe they switched to these thin ones, the old 3310 thick ones were bomb proof! :(
#7
Any idea if this is the same one the nokia 770 tablet uses?
#8
Nice one! Just when I needed it!

i bought ones of theses a few weeks ago.......its NOT an original nokia one, and i wasnt all that impressed with it...... but i was desperate for one so i guess its a good price....... but be warned its not original and has an annoying green LED that shines bright in the night when you are charging your phone!

you can get adapters that fit over the end of the old size nokia chargers for about a £1 on ebay.
#14
All I did was buy a 'CA-44 charger adapter' for about £2 including postage off ebay, means you can use the older large style charger with your newer phone.
Everyone has an old charger lying around ;0)....
#15
This is what you need (CA-44)

Be warned that the CA-44 adapter doesn't always work. I have a Nokia N80 and I can only charge using the supplied charger otherwise it says "not charging" or something similar on the screen.
#18
would only trust the original thing on my nokia or as others said use the CA-44 adaptor. both can be had on eBay easily and cheaply!
#19
I bought a bunch of CA-44 adaptors when I got my first Nokia phone with these ****** new small plugs, as I have loads of old style chargers (both mains and car). However I find they are ****, sometimes if the phone isn't sitting just right they disconnect, so now I stick to only genuine Nokia chargers with no adaptor (genuine or otherwise).

Personally I'm well peeved at the fact they changed the charger style, no doubt a ploy by Nokia to force everyone into buying new additional chargers. It used to be that if you have a Nokia phone and are running low when at someone else's house or at a party etc, chances are someone would have a suitable charger. No such luck now though, as I found to my cost at the Wickerman festival last weekend... quite a few people with old-style chargers though!

Also remember that the old charger with the adapter will take a bit longer to charge the phone.

I think the newer ones are rapid chargers.

I have just recently moved house, and the week we moved in, i was on standby for my work although off on annual leave.
My Nokia phone was about to die and i needed it on not only for work but for carpet fitters, deliveries etc to contact me as the house can be a bit hard to find.....of course, in the rush to move out, we'd packed the phone chargers in one of the boxes lying around and had no idea which one.
I deperately needed a Nokia phone charger and ended up going to Carphone Warehouse which was the only place within 5 miles i could get one quickly and get back to the house in time for an appointment.....£27 is what they charged me for it!!!!!!!

At this price i have no option but to vote hot, shake my fist in the direction of carphone warehouse and then go cry into my pillow.

LOL I can't believe "c r a p" is removed by the profanity filter on here, political correctness gone insane! Maybe we should also filter words like "bad" and "excellent", since ungood and doubleplusgood will do just fine ;)

I've got 2 of the adaptors, and never had a problem. My only problem was with the ****** charger Nokia gave with the N80...the wire frayed away after less than a month.

As for changing the charger style...you've hit the nail on the head there...its just to make Nokia some money!
#24
I think this works with the N770, correct me if Im wrong!
#26
3.99 haha
if you go to a mobile fone warehouse in bury they are 55p :whistling:
#27
How on earth do you guys break your chargers? I've dropped mine lots of times, no problems...
#28
The thin ones are the only ones that break, coz its thin metal, just have to knock your phone off your desk it bends :(

I have 10 of these for sale if people are interested i bought them for the wholesale phones i deal in but they sent me the wrong ones i needed to older style but they were kind enough to allow me to keep 10 of these

Mine broke also, but took it back and got a new one for free at my local Nokia Service center. Wouldn't waste my money on a thin version of this adapter.
