Have you checked the TomTom site?

http://www.tomtom.com/products/features.php?ID=260&Category=2&Lid=1

You need a bluetooth GPS and the TomTom software.

edi what do you reckon to the N70 then? I currently use a Nokia 6230i but have been looking for an upgrade for ages as for some reason the battery only lasts a day (tried different batteries and different chargers but still no joy - anyone any ideas?).

If u reckon the baatery on a 6230 is poor- u will get a shock with the n70!

i had to charge it daily despite it being a new baatery
#23
It didn't start off that way (i've had it 2 years now) but a year ago it just suddenly started only lasting a day despite buying a new battery, charger etc. and i've managed to put up with it, but just recently it's packing in at important times so a change is needed I feel. Going to have one last go at wiping the whole phone incase something I've put on is effecting it's performance. However, if a new phone is required, I've always preferred Nokia's and would only be after one with a better quality camera than the 6230i hence why I am asking about the N70.

N80 + t290i for £89.99

Flash n80 to n80 internet edition. then use truphone, giving free landline calls to UK and a lot of international destinations (usual ones) for free. You can also roam on the London Cloud network and it will cost you 3p/min extra for any call.
#26
Do they come in original box?

Had a N70 up until recently on the 3 network, battery life was about a day, less if used a lot. When I changed phone I debranded it and put a O2 sims in. I also changed the network to gsm only. Since changing to gsm only battery life has gone up to 3-4 days.

the only thing I can think why the battery life was poor when using the 3 network is that it was constantly trying to obtain a 3g signal (3g signal non existent where I live)

My previous orders have come in a plain black box and apart from instructions and software, were missing all other original accessories - no cables, adaptors, media cards, etc. So some extra outlay might be required.
In contrast to Edi's experience, my 5500 also looked very secondhand and had damage to the case. Other phones have though been 'as new' appearance. Luck of the draw I guess.

Is that an 'approved' update via the standard Nokia Suite update facility?

it all depends on the security on the phone.

if its on a lower security, it will probably be anything up to £20.

if its got the newer security on it, you will be looking at around £35 from davinciteam.com for a permanent unlock
