That's a great deal Ducky!

Sorry to probably drag this whole arguement up one more time, but does anyone know if these are easily unlocked?

orange will unlock these, charge £20 via a top up, just ring up customer service after you have registered the phone

no free unlock codes for these as a BB5 type phone

Ouch! Thanks for that browntoa.

Was tempted, but that just adds to the price, and anyway, I can't collect it from my local store, a 30 mile round trip would be needed. I may just go for anoter Nokia like the N80 or N93, maybe even the N95! :D

Yes - the N70 has more difficulty with TomTom Mobile apparently. If I could still get a 6680 I would get that.

I don't think it is worth you 'upgrading' really. I am sticking with my trusty 6630 instead of risking the N70 (as I use TomTom and don't need a radio on my phone).

lol this is funny, i'm currently selling my Nokia N70 on ebay (got a new phone). Granted it has been used but still not getting anywhere near this amount. With the way phone prices drop I wouldn't pay more than £100 for this phone.

Very nice phone though.
The network 3 charge £15 to unlock their phones if anyone needs to know that.
And the only way these phones can be unlocked is by getting the code off the networ operator (as mentioned above).

If you are trting to run TomTom on it make sure you download the latest firmware for it and also reduce the POI's on screen.

I got the N70 on contract with T-mobile in December through an offer posted here, it will cost me £25 after my cashback but T-mobile unlock for free after a month so just waiting until middle of Jan!

If the phone if from vodafone and more than 12months old, they unlock it for free.

THough i have found CS for mobile networks disgusting when it comes to getting the codes.
When on orange I got cut off 4 times as soon as I siad I would like me phone to be unlocked. I had to go into the store and demand they called orange.

Likewise with vodafone but I eventually got through to a female who took pitty and did it for me!
