Great deal, especially considering their family addon (£5/£7 extra a month for free unlimited, but minute limit per call I think, calls to 5 or 7 other Vodafone mobiles)

Considering the effeminate nature of this phone good for chatter boxes.... :-D nice to see it in black too though

Thanks for this ducky :)

Never heard of this company - anyone know if they're reliable paying cashback (and likely to remain around long enough to do so)?
#5
Can this phone be unlocked easily ?

I think I would only stick with carphone warehouse and its affiliates. No doubt they provide some of the best service out there. Not to mention the fact that they are one of the longest est. companies.

I agree. For me its always been carphone warehouse or phones4u only.

Personally I think anyone posting pay monthly mobile deals should include in their post the cashback procedure. A lot of people don't realise what is involved with cashback deals.

Yes I also agree, I only trust e2save, onestopphoneshop, phones4u and carphone warehouse as the rest are not reliable

www.thephonespot.com also owned by CPW.

www.buymobilephones.net a decade of phone selling reliable cashback

www.mobileshop.com good history and reliabl

and plenty of others, not to mention phones4u and thelink (despite sell out) are huge in the UK

Plenty of good and bad service everywhere, even all of CPW subsidiaries have had bad experiences.

CPW & co doesn't have a monopoly on decent service :)

Lets be honest here. All the cashback deals are possible because a certain percentage of people failing to claim their money back successfully.

Generally, the better the offers (ie newer model of phone, more free months) the greater percentage of expected failures in claiming cashback. Anyone offering the latest model phones with pretty much free over 12 month deals are going to make it hard for you. With some, very small window to send in bills, as many as 6 bills to send in, asking for originals, and one failure discounting further installments, ambiguous wording over 6th bill/6th month bill etc. It isn't simply a case of being methodical as registered post usually doesn't get signed for and so on and so forth.

It isn't about the likelyhood of a company going bump or the level of service that different ones offer, it is the stringency of the terms that counts. CPW as well as their subsidiaries like e2save will look for payment avoidance just like everyone else (though there is possibly less worry about bancruptcy or seriously unscrupulous practices with the big companies) , but the 60days window makes the risk involved much lower, and giving plenty of time to resend if probs occur. Similarly phones4u requiring just one lot of bills being sent in in one go, means you can send them by the most expensive guaranteed delivery system available to you, as it is a one off.

I have lost count of the number of people who I have met who have been stung by cashback deals.

Bottom line for me is that new arrivals at this site, who might never have heard of cashback deals will automatically presume that what they are seeing are unprecedented bargains, that are straightforward as they are posted on here. I appreciate that it's their own responsibility to carefully check the terms of anything they buy, but if you are not familiar with mobile cashback deals, you would never imagine that terms and conditions like those employed by some companies would even be legal! Just including them in posts would be little hassle and give the unfamiliar a heads up, that's all.

Just look at this last week. The phones4u clearance deals, that are straightforward, and one would imagine to be extremely appealing to newbies hardly got noticed, whilst posts of deals that looked comparable cost wise, but with much snassier phones get posted every hour or so.

Bottom line for me, is if people are going to swamp the site with every single deal from sites like coolnewmobile or phoneboxdirect etc, then include the cashback details in the same way you would say, the delivery costs of another item.

Has anyone else ordered this?

I ordered mine on the 28th Feb, haven't received anything yet. They phoned me a week ago on Tuesday (6th) saying there had been a delay but it should be with me in the next few days.

Haven't heard anything since, I've e-mailed them but no reply.

Still waiting. Will give them another week and then cancel completely if they can not produce the phone. They really should not be advertising it as "in stock" if they don't have it.:?
#25
Hmm... Is there a Say No To 0870 contact number for them?

Any luck. Please post here if you do receive your phone. Thanks

I phoned them up and they said it might be a couple of weeks. Said that it was still showing as in stock on their website, they denied it was despite me having the page open in front of me at the time. Wasn't happy with their CS so cancelled my order.

This is a copy of their terms and condition and states the cashback claims proceedure clearly.
