Quidco are offering 18% cashback on accessories and handsets from Nokia.

Deal is for 1 week only according to Quidco.

Tesco have a good deal on PAYG for £330, which may be better for some, but if you want to use the phone on a different network you'll have to pay another £20 and wait up to 28 days. This deal can be found here: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/nokia-n8-on-tesco-payg-with-20-free/779182

Please go easy on me - I'm not suggesting this phone is any better than any other phones, just that it's a good deal for this phone compared to other deals currently available for anyone who might be interested in purchasing one. Ah thank you.

Let the inevitable quibbling commence!

Personally I'd take the Tesco deal, and unlock the handsent and still come out £10 better off. Quidco doesn't count as it doesn't always track as I have experienced many times.

Nor does Tesco unlocking always work. Not from my experience anyway.

Also, if you get it from Nokia, you have the option of all colours, while Tesco only offers black. Heat added :)

I take your point with Quidco, I had a similar issue, but that was to do with a contract phone where O2 make up some reason to talk to you which then results in the deal not being done online and therefore not qualifying for Quidco. Not sure how likely you are to have a problem with Quidco on a PAYG phone purchase, but then I know nothing of your experiences.

That said, I don't know many people who would buy a phone and then wait at least a month before being able to use it.

Good deal??? On a contract it can be £20 per month. So £480 for the two years.

So can the PAYG cost just (£480 less £352)/24 months, £5 a month?

If PAYG is £5pcm this is only an equally fine deal.

This is a deal for someone who just wants to buy the phone only. For example, I already have a SIM only contract and wouldn't want to spend any extra on a contract I wouldn't use. That would just be throwing £128 away.

Plus not everyone wants to be tied to a 2 year contract. By 2013 we will have phones with holographic 3D screens and 14 megapixel cameras with 10x zoom built-in. Who will want to be stuck with a rubbish 8 megapixel 2D camera-phone then? :)

So your deal isn't very good for someone looking to buy it outright. Try comparing apples with apples.
