dunno why the cold votes, tis a good price after quidco

makes a great ebook reader too :)
#2
Got mine for £90 of ebay.

But considering this is brand new it is a very good price.

Cold voters must be some morons not knowing a decent deal when they see one.

voted hot heat given

Can you put a sim in it and surf the web like the iphone?
#5
nope but then it doesnt come with a stupidly bad contract deal

you can pair it with a phone with bluetooth and get on line that way tho

Connectivity

* WLAN: 802.11b/g
* Bluetooth specification: 2.0. For internet connection and file transfer via phone
o Nokia AV connector 3.5mm
o Profiles supported: Dial-up Networking, File Transfer, Generic Access, SIM Access, Object Push Profile, Human Interface Profile and Serial Port profiles
* USB 2.0 high speed device mode for PC connectivity

which means you can youse it for a micro web browser tablet around the house if you have a wireless gateway access to you..

Again out and about you can do the same thing via bluetooth or wifi hotspots

d**n, when did that Quidco change - I just bought an E51 from Play, and the Quidco on Nokia was only a few % - have some heat and rep just for pointing that out - annoyingly
#8
Hot, had one for a while connects to everything! I have a bluetooth gps unit which i got for 20 quid.
#9
because the elonex one (if it ever arrives) will be delivered soon at about £99.

This unit is smaller / more portable though.
#10
Super deal for a super bit of kit.

I would highly recomend this, but I'm still extremely naffed off at how little support Nokia provide for legacy products, especially this range (I have the N770, which has been effectively forgotten about by Nokia).
It's annoying as so much more software will work on the older models, but Nokias lack of support makes it all nothing but a total frustration!

Really nice screen these. Just need something similar with internal HSDPA and you've got a great alternative to the webbook model. I'd guess a fair number of those buying webbooks don't need to enter much text, in which case a high res tablet format is going to be very usable indeed.

amazing price!

Time for another CarPC :D
#14
Nice price, I think you can use these as a cool media center remote, not sure if they've finished the program yet, certainly works on the n770 or whatever it's called.

I have had two of these, and they both had an anoying bug, that turning on the unit was hit and miss.

Sometime it would not turn back on for over 30mins.

If you GOOGLE the unit N800 power problem, seems to be a general problem.

Shouldn't the price be listed as its actual price before quidco is added?

It's a little misleading otherwise.

It's pretty clear from the title and the op.

Got same problem, realised that pressing buttons randomly, and constantly pressing the power button works.

If not I remove and re-insert battery.
#21
I just tend not to bother turning mine off if I can help it! :)
#22
Just got an E66 off there, I doubt anyone else could beat a price of £230 for that phone !
#23
Do these work with mobile broadband dongles?
#24
Ive had one of these for a while and still use it everyday, brilliant bit of kit :)
#25
I've already got a iPOD Touch but still tempted to go for this offer.

Would come in handy as a Internet radio player for the bath/shower.

Thanks for the post, it's definitely a hot deal.

The latest firmware update (OS2008 'Diablo' which came out a few weeks ago) fixes this. Mine has been perfect ever since.

But then you need a second contract, and the Qualcomm 3G royalties would add £100 to the price.

No, you need a 3G phone.

It doesn't need internal HSDPA, because you can tether it to your existing HSDPA phone with Bluetooth !
