I have been on a similar contract with them for 6 months now - classed as a refurb but was brand new - very happy, loads of minutes and text all in - plus I download my teams foot goals for free every month - all free - .

great deal.

oH AND i GET A DECENT SERVICE FROM THEM AS WELL.

He's probably using something like turbo msn or IM+ through his WLAN.
I've got the N80 with Three and you can't use their own msn service with it. Which is a bit poo.

The N80 is a great phone, the main drawback is the battery life is AWFUL! Its the only phone i've ever had were i have to carry a spare battery!
#21
the deal works out too expensive considering u can pick up a n80 on ebay for £70

i wouldnt say that, some of the used orange branded ones are. Used sim free are going for over well over £100. its all relative
#23
The bluetooth headset you receive is the Plantronics 340, Ive got the deal myself and cant fault three or the headset, I sold the N80r and bought the N73 with the proceeds

But that buys a phone!

For just over a hundred quid after cb you get a 512m card, bluetooth headset, and loads of mins and texts and three extras?
Explain how thats too expensive?

BTW wasn't this deal posted a few days ago?

Yeh they ran out of stock but its back again

ok first off, tis true...messenger not working on the N80 with three at the moment. battery life is not terrible on the n80, just odd.....90% of the time I go all day and still have full bars at the end of the day, then every so often (I'm working on the theory that it's every other wednesday!) the battery is dead after about 6-7 hours of very light usage.
camera is very good, video is terrible. download a little program called handy keylock to auto lock the keys when you slide it closed and it's a very nice phone (although mine rattles when vibrating)

Can you please explain how you get to "just over a hundred quid"?

As far as I can see it's £17.50 x 18 months = £315 less £130 for Quidco and refer a friend = £185. Am I missing something?

only problem is messenger is going to be charged for from june around an extra £7.50 a month plus n80 is worth around £70 on ebay so not really a good deal

Dont forget itemised billing is now a mandatory £2 a month charge

Also its 18 month contract which is like forever so no upgrades in month 12

I dont know were you got that from about msn because it states on the website "free for life" and before this they were only charging £2 a month for it

Also i know a few people who have recently joined with no itemised billing
#30
yes from the 13th you get charged itemised billing, trust me messenger will be £7.50 im in the mobile trade we have received literature last week

They advertise for life but they are allowed to change marketing techniques when they wish

Im not saying you arent correct. They may start charging new customers for msn in the future but not if you join at the moment.

for their T&C:
"MSN net passport account required. For life - you can get Windows Live Messenger free for as long as you stay on the promoted price plan. Handsets subject to availability."

as long as you sign up and stay on the same price plan i dont see how they can charge existing customers

They can change terms when they like plus we got information through this deal is very poor because we sell the same sim deal 18 months free via caskback so your actually you are paying £315 for phone in effect (which is second hand or known as refurb in the industry), also their cs is based in india which are a nitemare, also coverage is really bad in all areas, dont get me wrong I dont dislike three but this deal is poor in comparison to whats available

For their T&C:
Changes to terms and records of agreements
We may change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes on the website. Please review these terms regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made by us. Your continued use of the website after any such change you agree to the changed terms and conditions.

I agree with him this is not a good deal.
18 x 17.5 = 315 minus quidco and refer a friend = 185.
Lets say minus £20 and £10 for memory card the costs you £155.
and you can buy this on ebay for less than £150 unlocked! NEW.

HOWEVER their coverage is perfectly fine. I have no problems whatsever. But their call centres are in india - which really is a nightmare!
