Good price for the phone, minutes and texts etc. No hassle cashback.

BUT THE PHONE IS REFURBISHED and it is 18 month contract. How is the recomeds a friend work?
#3
kobir u enter ur friend whos on three number den after 2 months u will get £30 off ur bills and also if u want pm me i will give u my number u can put my number so we both will get £30

It works very simply.

Log on and go through Quidco as normal. When you get to the three store, click on recommend a friend option (a few rows down in the middle). Then scroll down, and click "lets go shopping". This takes you back to the normal three store. Proceed as normal, then when at the checkout, enter your friends (3) mobile number. [Again like the OP, i will be happy to provide you with a suitable number if you don't know anyone on Three].

FYI, the £30 is not instant. I signed up early February and have just been credited with the money, but at least it works!

NOTE: If you don't go through the recommend a friend option, then the required box will not appear at the checkout stage!

guys also if ur gonna recommend pm me i wil giv ya ma number and don't forget to enter the code bt19040703
#6
Cheers for the that info guys will definately let you know if i go for it. The only thing wrong with "3" is that like Vodafone you can't use the free minutes to call abroad using http://www.yourcallworld.com/

Going to vote it hot anyway.

Thinking of taking out a second contract for my daughter, can I put my number in as a 'friend' even though the second contract will also be in my name?
#8
bcl66 i think u can enter ur own number if u buying the contract in ur name gud luck!
#9
I'm stumped there i'm afraid. Could be worth the risk!

For people taking out this offer via quidco.
Remember you have to go to 3 website and click on the recommend the friend link, scroll down and click three.co.uk/friends and then the lets go shopping.

Also if people want my 3 number i will send you £10 cashback so you would end up with £40 from the refer friend

Can people STOP posting the "ohh, please get me to refer you so we both get cashback" type of stuff... if you're going to get this, only contact the OP as he/she took the time to post the deal.

thanks emasu lol

No problem - it really does hack me off when people try to piggyback on other people's deals - if they want to be respected, they can post a good deal themselves

From Mobile Phone Reviews UK:

"Probably the most highly anticipated of the new N series phones, the N80 is also the one that most fails to live up to expectations. On paper the N80 is a dream - it's the highest spec smartphone ever released - but perhaps this is the reason for the problems"

"It slides awkwardly open and won't stay closed. There is a tendency for the slide to open by itself when in a bag or pocket, which can lead to the phone unlocking and making calls by itself. It is also necessary to lock the keypad manually, making the whole thing quite annoying."

"The N80 is a 3G smartphone, so it benefits from a wide range of advanced software, plus excellent functionality and connectivity. However, it's one of the most buggy and unstable phones around."

"Battery life has to be mentioned, because it is really quite bad. Expect to get no more than one or two days use maximum from this phone. If you are expecting to make extensive use of its music and smartphone features, you will find this to be a real problem.

On paper, the N80 looks like the best phone ever, but in reality it disappoints in many key respects."

anyway whos bought this contract let us now

I got this last month, superb contract and a great phone, takes a bit of getting used to and its very big compared to some, but the features and are superb, very happy.
Also worth mentioning 3 are also giving away a 512mb memory card with each handset.

coupled with a BT headset, loads of mins, text, video calls, photo messages, 100 quidco, 30 each refer a friend, great deal. The quidco tracked in no time as well. Saves all the hassle and pathetic terms and conditions of many cash back plus a small monthly spend.

can i just warn people from past experience! thse offers are not fully recognised by the 3 network, therefore they charge you 17.50 a month for 6 months, then the price suddenly goes up to 25 pounds.. If you noticed and called them up, they will rectify the problem and make it 17.50 a month again.. if you didnt, it's too late!... they do this on purpose.

what do you mean its not recognised? its on the 3 mobile website? do you mean they jack the price up on purpose after 6 months even if the offers suppose to cover you for 18 months? has anyone else experienced this?

I would also be very grateful if anyone else with this phone could leave feedback about it. Im especially interested in the sliding mechanism (does it open in your pocket?) and buggy software (random turning off etc)

thanks a lot for any help
#26
it is possible for it to slide open slightly in your pocket, not really found that a problem though. No bugs in the software infact the software is great imo.
Camera excellent, mp3 player great, the screen is brilliant, the extras from 3 superb. Two biggest negatives imo are 1) size, the phone is a little thick 2)Battery not the best but does appear to be getting better with time.

Another problem with this phone is that the menus are soooo sloooooow! If it wasn't for the terrible battery life and the menu system, this phone would be almost perfect....however those are 2 major faults imo.

The one really great thing is you can use it for VOIP. I have it connected up to the wi-fi in my house and can make calls all over the world for free (using Truphone software)

I really do not have a problem with the speed of the menus, mine are fine.

emasu,

i thought it's against the forum rule to make any 'referral' nature posts, in turn the author could benefit from others buying or subscribing to something.

it was the case when i started here in 2005, has it been change? could you clarify the guidelines?

thank you.
