yes, you're right, it hadn't been included in the total cost in the headline price on that item, and i wasn't paying attention. Thanks.

Also, Quidco or possibly other cashback as well.

If it's counted as a mobile sale, Quidco give 3.5% cashback, though this is obviously not a mobile phone, but would be nice to get that, so is probably 0.5% as electrical/pc etc.

Do I replace my N800 now or wait for the price crash when the N900 comes out? Decisions Decisions...

I'd stick with your N800 if I were you. I have an N800, and got one of these too, and I really think I prefer the N800. This one doesn't look as well built, only takes one miniSD card, and the keyboard really isn't up to much. The N800 just seems easier to use, to be honest.

However, I want to play around with the new Mer OS, so having another version has its benefits

Hm... I like the fact this comes with the car holder as standard, finding one of those for the N800 is impossible and it doesn't fit in the 770 one :(

I already have both previous models, both with Navicore on them, but I'm going to splash out on an N810, thanks OP :)

Ah yes, I can see that if you want to use this as a navigation device, then it has a few advantages over the N800.

Enjoy it!

pretty useless as a receiver. would still require external GPS, in which case N800, especially cost-effectively, wins. had the n800 near two years, and its brill. this is a flashy device, but n800, as mentioned, appears stronger -i'm sure this wouldn't survive the batterings i've given my 800.

If anyone's interested in my N810 with Navit GPS Navigation (should still have about 2 years left on that) I want to sell for £100 if possible. Just PM me.

It's fully boxed, comes with all accessories, pristine condition, screen protector, etc, etc - it's just not getting used since I started the PhD (no time!)

EVERYONE PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS IS A INTERNET TABLET AND NOT A PHONE. PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT IT TO BE ONE. Just in case.

does anyone know if you can use your vodafone mobile broadband with this?

anyone got one of these?
#18
By using a usb adapter it is possible to connect usb devices- i've used keyboards and flash drives without any bother. If it can find the drivers i see no reason why it couldn't do it.

It aint going to be easy to do that.

Anyway, this is a cold deal IMO, because the N900 will be out soon so the price of this is dropping like a stone, even further than what it is now.

£80 delivered? ;)

I would like one of these but I guess the price will go down when the N900 comes out. What do you guys think?
#22
likely to come down, but i dont think it will crash that quickly - as i have noticed they have been coming down gradually over the last 6-8 months
#23
Why bother with this when for £10 more you get the Datawind Ubisurfer which is a 7 inch screen Linux-driven netbook with free Vodafone BUILT IN mobile broadband for a year.

None of this dongle-hanging-out-waiting-to-be-knocked-and-broken malarkey.

And it has GPS (so the reviews I have read say).

The link is in this forum, just search for it.

Remember to use TopCashBack (or Quidco if they do HUT) as well, for more of a bargain.
#24
Datawind Ubisurfer is more like eee pc size by the looks of it, and no where near as small as this,

This is a little bigger than an iPhone and great to put in your pocket. Also looks better.

The N900 will cost £500 prolly. Why would they reduce this below £129? Prolly selling at discount to clear.

How good the N900 will be with a phone is another matter. Nokias make phones right?? :whistling:

N900 is £479 on Play! I spoke to Three today and the sales person confirmed Nokia dont do a N900. Soooo clueless.
