Any users care to add anything about the phone? Spec wise, it looks good, but are there any hidden nastys waiting?
is it any good?
It's an excellent phone, still the best camera phone nokia have put out thanks to the xenon flash.

- 5 Megapixel Camera WITH Xenon Flash (Takes great night shots with this!)
- GPS and AGPS (Has a Nokia maps trial, but the Free Google Maps app is way better with Street view and more)
- Built in WI-fi, Bluetooth and HSPDA/3.5G
- Music Player (supports MP3/AAC/eAAC/eAAC+/WMA/M4A) with 3.5mm standard headphone jack.
- Includes a 2gb Micro SD card, Supports up to 16GB
- Runs Symbian OS, has lots of dedicated apps including Youtube, Windows Live Messenger, Google Maps and many more.

I'd imagine cold votes are from people who'd prefer a free phone on a 5yr contract at £25pm as it's "cheaper"

Find this phone cheaper sim free then vote cold.

Seconded, nice to see the room temperature iq group out in force. . .
Just wanted to say I've had this phone (the silver one) for about 18 months now and its easily the best phone I've ever had feature wise. As mentioned the camera flash is awesome.

The only downside I can think of is battery life. With mine on 2g and average usage I get about 1-2 days. If you put it on 3g you'd have to charge every night with normal usage.

Don't let that put you off though. Runs stable, lots of great apps can be installed - shozu, google maps, google latitude, joikuspot, push email, voip stuff. If you jailbreak it there are even more possibilities. This is hot!
Ever so slightly higher spec than my Nokia n78 and my n78 is absolutely amazing. Love installing apps and all. Wanted an n82 but the n78 is a bit slimmer and lighter so went for it. Certaintly worth getting an n82 though!
well if you are concerned about battery life (this applies to the n95 too) try going to the advanced wi-fi settings and turning the power down.

Open settings,
go to connection,
go to wireless lan,
press left soft key/options > select advanced options,
continue anyway if the warning appears,
Change the TX power level from 100mW to 10 mW or 4mW, will save alot of power should you not use it throughout the day.

Also turning brightness down and having power save enabled after 10 or so seconds helps.
Had one since it was first released and cant find any other phone to upgrade to as this is still so good. Hardware wise, it trumps Nokia's newer offerings such as N79 and N85 due to dual processor and 3D graphics acceleration, and also they lack a built in VOIP client which the N82 has. This is an all time great phone.
I've had this phone for a while and it's the best I've ever owned (and I'm sure it's the best on the market). The camera is brilliant, the design is sturdy, the apps are awesome, the speakers are great, everything about it is awesome. 100/100. I've even held off on upgrading to an N97 because I'm reluctant to downgrade my camera!
