I thought this was a great price for the N900. No money up front for the phone. Plus its only an 18 month contract so not tied in as long as most of the deals with a free phone.

I think this gives a full price of £540, the other deals I've looked at are coming in nearer £600.

This is with T-Mobile.

looks a good deal for a powerful phone.

The site lists the deal as 24 months. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Edit: looking at the wrong tariff, 18 months is correct

I got one of these when they came out in late nov/ early december last year, it is currently with nokia repair again for the 2nd time. the customer service i received from mobilephonesdirect (who run nokia retail was terrible).

great phone when it works though i just hope you dont get a dodgy one like me.
#6
can't see it for £30 only for £35.

£30 a month with these details make the phone £90 not free
#7
Pleased to see the N900 available on T-Mobile now, but it's blimmin' expensive compared with the G2 deals they've been doing lately. Originally, I wanted the N900, but having had a G2 for a few weeks, I'm not so sure of Maemo/MeeGo's future against Android and iPhone.

Nokia Retail is operated by Mobile Phones Direct Ltd, Nokia UK's branded retail store partner. http://www.nokiaretail.co.uk/customerServices/about.htm

Neither is listed on Quidco, unlike Nokia proper, which - I think - only sell handsets, and not hand-sets with contracts.

its great to see any 18 months contract .............good deal

T-Mobile's 'Fair Usage Policy' is 1GB/month on standard Web n' Walk, 3GB/month on Web n' Walk Plus (the latter comes as standard with all plans started with Android phones - not sure about the N900; ask them!)

Vodafone's FUP is 500MB/month. Orange's is 750MB/month. O2's is 200MB/month with O2 Web or 3GB/month with O2 Web Max (standard with their iPhones).

I work for a business mobile phone dealer and had someone from Vodafone's marketing company in recently and he told me that Vodafone will not charge you for going over the fair policy unless you do it every month. Kind of told me in confidence so don't tell anyone ;-)

I took out the contract with T-Mobile and returned the phone under the 7 day return period. T-Mobile internet network speed was one fifth of Vodafones, so cancelled the contract and took out the same phone on Vodafone for £5 a month more.

I figured £5 a month was a worthy price to pay for an internet tablet if it was going to be 5 times quicker!

I am with virginmobile, have been for years and I can not fault their service, coverage etc. Never have problems getting through to customer services and they have always done what they say they will do.The range of phones is ok, I think it seems to be priced fairly. They are alledgedly hoping to have the iphone by the summer.

One good thing they have just introduced this month is is you have virgin at home its free to ring the virginmobile network which is handy.

a better offer on mobiles.co.uk if u not bothered about the minutes
300 min/unlimited texts and internet £40/month 12 months contract plus £109 for the phone less £55 Quidco (i needed to follow this one as was not tracked but sorted now) so works cheaper and only 12 months if u got bored of the phone and wanted the N520 with meego...or maemo 6.
its great phone by the way and has the future as the system is open (for hackers!!!)

I've not hammered the 3G/HSDPA data with my G2 on T-Mobile as I have WiFi in most places I stay at for any length of time, and almost no signal from any network in my home, but it's worked whenever I've needed it. I've benchmarked it at 2Mbit/s down, 0.5Mbit/s up.

totally irrelevant to the thread, but im a lil angry @ nokia so angry i cant sleep @12.40am , i went to a nokia center yesterday to give my fone in for repair(5800xpress) after it crashed during a firmware update only to be told it will cost £45 coz its water damage,(bunch of theives) managed to finally restore after 6hours on the net searching and downloading various firmwares. Tommorrow im gona pop in to the shop and unleash some hell.
#26
Good buy, took this info to vodaphone and called them to upgrade, and I'm getting 600 mins, unltd txt and unltd tinternet for 30 quid a month, phone for 40 quid, on 18 monther. Always worth a haggle, as I'd rather stay on a service I know is sturdy than go for a great deal on tmob and get caught out! heat added btw :D

I've ordered one today.

You may want to add that this phone comes with a free leather case which is advertised as being worth £19.99, although they are selling them for £17.99. Odd that the case came up as an option to purchase with the free £20 of accessories I got from my chosen tariff! Don't need a spare case for it! I emailed them as the case did not show up in my email confirmation and got a prompt response that the case is indeed included as standard with this phone and any of the tariffs.

Heat and respect added.
#29
Just so that we don't have another flood on maemo.org, please read this document before you order this phone. This phone still has some serious issues which many users would find extremely irritating.

And just for some balance, read this thread as well. Personally, I am in the second camp. I have been using this phone for about 2 months now and I absolutely love it. This has replaced my laptop for most things and this is the first time I have seen something close to replacing the computer. The community is great, as long as you ask nicely (much like Linux community) and list of available apps keeps growing. With QT 4.6 coming to this phone at the end of this month, most symbian apps should become available for this phone as well.

Boyfriend is due an upgrade tomorrow and really wants this phone.

Anyone know what the chances of getting T-Mobile directly to match this deal?? He's already a T-Mob customer, and would rather buy from them rather than this Nokia website.

I took out a contract 2 days ago with carphonewarehouse. They do exactly the same deal on an 18 month contract but the phone is £159.99.

This seems to be a very good deal. Proberly the best deal for this phone available. Im proberly gona call carphonewarehouse and send back the phone to get this one.

I posted a £20 deal here: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/621050/n900-excellent-hidden-deals-at-mobi
but is not appearing on any of the searches, i think the hotukdeals database might be corrupted...

i can see the price dropping on this phone or it being discontinued soon, not enough people know about it, poor advertising from nokia. they need to spend some money. Shame really as its a top phone, good for me tho waiting for the value to drop to something a phone should really be worth .imo under £200 any phone over that is a waste of money.

The N900 isn't really meant as a mainstream smartphone; it's really to try and get the early adopting geeks/developers onto developing for Maemo. The N910 (or whatever they call it) is intended for the mainstream, and probably won't be as open as the N900 or preceding Maemo devices.
