If voting cold, please post the cheaper price in the thread. ;-) The cheapest I could find this phone for elsewhere (on PAYG) was £350. Again, please post if you find it cheaper elsewhere!!

Amazon have this, the Nokia N95, for just £299.99 in their computing & electronics sale which ends at 11.59pm on Tuesday, 11th March 2008. It's on Orange pay as you go, so unfortunately it's probably locked.

The Nokia N95 is the most powerful Nokia to date. It has built in sat nav and a great 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens. A numeric keypad slides out from one end of the N95 while dedicated media keys slide out from the opposite direction. The high resolution display can be viewed in portrait or landscape mode. With built-in GPS, the N95's Maps application includes maps for more than 100 countries, enabling users to explore the world, find specific routes or locate services such as restaurants and hotels and covering more than 15 million points of interest. The 5 megapixel camera is one of the best cameras ever seen in a mobile phone and the N95 has a TV out port, enabling users to easily view photos and videos on a TV screen. The N95 is a 3G phone, which means fast web browsing, video streaming and music downloads. Theres also a 3G video call camera. You can see your caller in the main display and they can see you.

Maybe people like their high end phones with high end batteries?
The standard N95 battery is a joke.

i wont vote it cold but i have this phone on an orange monthly contract of £15 and got the phone free by threatening to leave at my last upgrade. its an 18 month contract which will cost £225 but thats including calls and texts. its a great phone although battery life is a wee bit of a problem. the camera and video are great as is the music player

Care to elaborate? If I let mine run down it would last between 2 - 4 days before needing a charge, dependent on usage. That's fine for a high end phone with bells and whistles as far as I'm concerned.

Battery life on mine which is now 12 months old is fine, earlier firmware versions were a bit battery intensive, but the latest version (v20 I believe) gives me at least 24-36 hours of solid use, and that includes calling, texts, internet, wifi and using it as mp3 player for couple of hours.

By far best phone i've ever had all things considered
