I never understand people who vote cold without posting why.

This is the cheapest you will get a n95 for sim free from a reputable retailer. Take a look at cpw and they have it for £499 for example.

Best N-Series on the market by far. Had mine for just over a week, good photo's, 4-5x faster than the N80, keylock built in , and the GPS rocks :)

Find a good deal and get one, Nokia have over marketed them for now so expect a sharp price drop soon :)

PS Yes SMS works fine !! VOIP is much better than the N80 . . .

I posted about this in previous topic about n95. Plus dont forget quidco which takes another 2.5% off the price i think bringing it down to around £426 or something

Nearly 450 quid for a phone get a life....in 3 months it'll be £89.99 like all the rest...:x

Can't see myself doshing out this amount for a phone myself either. £89.99 in three months time seems about right to me.:whistling:

Nice & full features - unfortunately the build quality is poor compared to N80 - seems very flimsy/toyish!

n80 is fine once you update firmare etc however i got mine on 3 network and it cant be unlocked, and ive just changed network provider to o2

Not even in your dreams mate!!!! Even the n80 to this day is still extremely expensive.

Have you even seen a 9 months or 12 months free on N80? Even on clearance - I think not!!!!

Anyway i've got one AND IT'S BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!
#12
I don't think this will go down to < £100. Theres too much on it. Wi-fi, 5mp and GPS etc.

Just a question though. With the GPS do you have to pay for some kind of a subscription??

Aha, if this drops below £200 in the near future it'd be an amazement.
#14
Nice phone, but for £450 id rather add £50 and buy a medium spec computer. My limit for phones is £150, but if youre loaded and have more money than you know what to do with I spose its okay.
#15
Just wanted to add my tupence.

Iv'e had this a week now and its the best phoen on the market.

I went for a contract though, which means at least you get the phone for cheap. I paid £89 on O2, (upgrade £25 Tariff) but I have heard of people getting it for FREE on Orange as an upgrade and a £30 tariff.

Anyhow, its brilliant - upload my 5mb pictures to flickr with a couple of clicks.

That sounds like a good deal - better than paying nearly half a grand for a sim free version.

does ur £500 pc have gps + 5mp camera and portable?

lmfao some ppl are funny as $"%%
#19
No, my point was that half a grand could be better value for other things, but point taken theyre not the same. If youre loaded fair enough.

The contract deal sounded a far better option for £30 a month. Id personally go for that rather than shell out on a bargain £450 sim free version.

hi, i have installed tomtom 6 on my n95. Although it has a built in gps receiver, tomtom does not support this facility. Therefore had to purchase an external portable gps receiver.

It is a nice phone with many functions.

Are you an idiot? The Phone Is SIMFREE, doesnt matter who you bought it from, they order the phones in advance so the stock is there to be sold, doesnt actually matter where you buy because phone is simfree and the link arent going to screw you VOTED HOT!

Edit: The N95 uses S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 (Symbian 9.2) Got TomTom6 For this for trade, pm me digital delivery

I think you misread Nightshot's post RikkiL... Good reason why it's always a good idea to remain civil.

Only if you want voice directions, something like 5 quid a month I think.

I'm due for an upgrade, n95 costs 180, n73 costs 30, or I might opt for vario 2... hmmmmm...

After that uncivil comment I doubt anyone would want to trade with you.:?

Oh and if you even done you're research you WILL see that this is the cheapest deal by miles - ANYWHERE. EVERY N95 on contract costs AT LEAST £500 - thats line rental + phone price And they usually be locked. this is sim free and is so cheap. But not as cheap as ebay :)

if it's anything like my buggy N73, i'd rather wait for the iphone.. sometimes it makes me think that they release firmware for phone that hasn't been through any sort of UAT or QA process whatsoever.
#33
I have spoke to vodaphone for aupgrade and they have offered me this on a 12mnths contract for 70pounds.

Others on contract may want to see if they can get a deal

£90 for a phone?? Get lost! What's wrong with one of the £10 ones on the Orange website??
I think there must be a generation gap issue here - I'm not THAT old, but I still for the life of me can't understand why anyone would be willing to fork out the best part of £450 for A PHONE!!!! You can get a good quality mid-range PC from Dell for just £40 more than this offer!
I must be getting old.
does ur £500 pc have gps

What on Earth is GPS and why should we need it?

It sure does!!

I think the majority of users just dont understand the full potential of this handset, you get what you pay for at the end of the day, pay £90 for a phone and you might get it to play mp3, pay over £400 and you get the highest megapixel handset out with gps (not to be confused with gprs :giggle:) and loads of other goodies.

With that kind of logic why would you want to spend 490 on a pc when you can get a pen and paper for a £1.
#39
I am going to be spending a lot of time in Europe towards the end of the year, so the GPS feature might be useful to me. Does anyone know how easy it will be to download other maps etc for it?
#40
Ive just ordered 2 of these as orange upgrades,
Got a smashing line rental deal too,
2600 anytime x-net minutes
Magic number which must be on orange but it free 24/7 and does not come out of your minutes.
Unlimited text messages

Got the phone for FREE and will be paying £35 per month :)

If your on orange try to get onto a retention deal.
