For this phone the refurbished version is probably that the original new version.

When they came out they had a design fault with the GPS which means that you have to take it to a Nokia repair centre.

So my guess would be that a refurbished phone would have had this fixed.

I loved this phone, had some issues but I still like it and getting the Nokia free navigation system is brilliant I even sold my old TOM TOM.

Please stay away from this clumsy phone.....
I own one and waiting for the day my contract will expire...In my view too high price for this phone.

I have tried many times... It tells me to turn after i have long past the turn. I am lucky because i did not sell my TOMTOM GO 720 when nokia released free navigation.. Also it shows that i am driving through the crossing roads when i am on motorways and goes nuts recalculating. Also it resets itself when you are on busy junctions.... It is a nightmare to drive with this..
Nokia's navigation system is good , but this phone is not up-to the mark...

I had the exact same problem for 6 months , until I took it to the Repair centre and it's woking like a charm. I'ts worth to repair it specially as is free the repair. I even sold my TOM TOM now.
Also the NOKIA maps are the latest version whilst my TOMTOM were like 3 4 years old. You even get the speed cameras on the Nokia maps.

When they change the part for the GPS they also change the cover of the lens so you may want to do this.

This phone is an excellent phone once is fixed. Before that is was an Ok phone for me.

Thanks for the info.. I was anyway planning to visit them as there are two dead pixels in my screen (I have no clue how they suddenly appeared).
Will ask them to look at the GPS too, but still unsure about the phone restarting itself though...

BTW.. How long did they take to repair yours??

It only took them 2 hours to repair. The shop was in the town centre so plenty of shops to hang around whilst I was waiting.

I rather take it to the shop than send it by the post
