First Deal post so here goes:

Nokia N97 T-Mobile 18 Month Contract £34.26pm, Phone Cost £2.99

18 Month, 700 Mins, Unltd Texts, Unlimited Web
Cracking deal - Think I have made my mind up to stop waiting for O2 to stock this phone but if anyone else doesn't fancy T-Mobile there is a similar contact on Vodafone but for 24 month (too long for me)

Don't know if anyone has any cashback (quidco type deals for this to make it even better?

Just found one on another cashback site called ebuyandsave.co.uk and it says they give £20 cashback on new contracts through mobilephonesdirect.co.uk

Thanks for sorting the pic out - Doh!

I liked it to be honeest but only had a few mins with it

Had the N96 for a while and took it back because it was awful but I like his better.

Why don't u like it?

Some terrible reviews for this, but maybe firmware updates will have changed things.

My experience with the N95 when it first came out left me thinking the same way you think of the N97.
After a year it was far far better and more useable. I suspect this will be the same for this phone as there are bound to be huge problems to yet be found then overcome.
This time next year I will probably get one.

About £330 from 3 shop, plus the current o2 deal with £100 quidco makes a total cost of ~£400 with phone for 12 months.

So this is clearly not a good deal.

The phone is really bad. Got it and took it back. Was really looking forward to this phone coming out as i was a big fan of n95's but the keyboard is rubbish with a very odd layout, and the touch screen is worse. It also has a very dated user interface.
Just my opinion but if u are gonna buy this phone buy it from somewhere you can return it just in case.

Techincally the phone is Very good; however what across the forums (and my mates who have it) seem to say are:

1) Firmware issues - like with most new Nokias, phone freezing etc
2) The current cost over 18months is very high and should drop in next 3 months
3) Battery life isnt great
4) Physical size of it - doesn't exactly fit in your pocket!
5) Nokia are new to touch screen technology are this seems to be their 2nd outing - but as noted above it ain't great.

Its biggest problem is it is resistive and not capacitive like the iphone/htc magic.

Its not really a choice for nokia, if they want to use stylus with handwriting input then you must use stylus, cant use capacitive. Thats what nokia wanted anyway, multiple input methods.
