Looks good, no need to add earphones for the radio-plays direct from the phone with an inbuilt antenna

No not at all, its in a much lower class/model than the two phones you mention.

* No 3G connectivity
* Smallish display with poor viewing angles and sunlight legibility
* Slider action has an unpleasant plastic-on-plastic friction
* No accelerometer for screen auto rotation
* S40 interface feels clunky and out of date
* No true multitasking
* No smart dialing or an office document viewer
* A bunch of software bugs
* Video recording maxes out at [email protected]

You're getting what you pay for though, for a phone that costs £80 at release its not bad
. They shouldn't have called this an X series phone as it cheapens the flagship X6 imo

with access to the amazing Nokia Ovi application store

The only thing amazing about Ovi store is how amazingly crap it is

Funny was just looking that this and a bunch of reviews. Be prepared to be let down.

It's phone for music fans. The sound quality is below average even when compared to models that are 2 or 3 years old and the operating system is full of bugs and prone to crashing. Build quality is poor too.

I was tempted but thought better of it. Probably better off getting a Nokia 5310 from Argos clearance or a Samsung F400. Both have been out for ages and are great.

Latest and new doesn't mean good.

Main disadvantages:
No 3G connectivity
Smallish display with poor viewing angles and sunlight legibility
Slider action has an unpleasant plastic-on-plastic friction

No accelerometer for screen auto rotation
S40 interface feels clunky and out of date
No true multitasking
No smart dialing or an office document viewer
A bunch of software bugs
Video recording maxes out at [email protected]

'All told, we can’t help but wonder if the Nokia X3 is not an old, forgotten design Nokia stumbled upon and decided to dust off. There are better phones on the market already, so the prognosis for the Nokia X3 doesn’t look good.'

So voting cold. This may be cheap for a the latest model but I see it as over priced as it fails in some really important areas, sound, build and software.
#24
I thought we are voting for the price of the item compared to its normal market price, not the price for its value watsoever. If you dont like the phone, just do not vote !
Hot from me !
#25
Well I was voting on if I thought it was a hot deal or not and I don't think it is. A pile of cold poo at half price is still a pile of cold poo. Making it cheap don't make it any better or mean you are getting a good deal.

Amen

But at least you can install third party stuff unlike an iphone (unless you jailbreak etc)
#28
Went instore to have a look at this amongst others today, can confirm its very cheap feeling as the reviews say.

I'd go for the refurb SE T715 from Three (if you can stomach the network)

http://threestore.three.co.uk/payg/dealsummary.aspx?offercode=DSL0PP138

£59 and the phone is 3g. Free MSN, Twitter, skype to skype calls. £10 topup also gives you 300 free texts, 150MB internet...which actually last 90 days unlike most providers who will reset it if it's not used in a month. Had it for two weeks now and it's great, however T-mobile screwed up my number transfer so I've not been able to actually use it as a phone yet!

screwed up your number - another cockup from /T-mobile and why I stay well clear of them...

you can get this mobile from Argos for £99.99 but you have to buy £10 airtime aswell making it £109.99.
