Does anyone know what MyHermes (used by Asda) does if you're not in to receive the package?

Per policy, they should leave a card for you that allows you to arrange re-delivery or instructions where to leave (neighbours, safe place etc).

In reality, like with almost all carriers, it all depends on the person doing the deliveries in your area. Our Hermes driver is a mature gentleman, perfect attitude, impeccable.

The previous poster (hoocheycoochey) apparently was not that happy with their Hermes delivery person. ;)

Ordered Nook 9am ish 10/05/13 for store deliver 11/05/13???? still showing as 'Order Placed' I have chased every day so far, but nothing, not even an email to say why its not arrived??????

Turned up today, easy to root if you so wish, now running for the missus quite happily as a £29 pseudo-Kindle. Sweet.

I had same problem, I rang today and they said my order was "stuck"?? and they'd pass it to the technical team to unstick, might be worth giving them a ring! They gave me a £5 evoucher for the bother, but I'm more worried that there'll be no stock left for me now =/

Stated it was in stock when I ordered last Friday. Also for a good while afterwards. On that basis I expect they have one for me. Order confirmation email said it will be available to collect the following day. It wasn't. Never heard anything from them since. Not a word. Went into the store days later on the off chance. Still not there.

I know there's a huge surge of demand for these right now but it's really showing up the ineptitude of their ordering system. As much as I'd be annoyed with the delay and the misinformation regarding stock, how hard is it for them to fire off a mass email to put people in the picture ? With people ordering from multiple sources to try and ensure they don't miss out on one, there's clearly going to be many people owning more than they wanted.

If I've learned something from this it's that in stock doesn't mean in stock at all. They'll take your order and worry about the details later.

I agree with you totally and it has taken me 5 days of ringing them up to complain. They evewn offered me a refund today???? I said I did not want that, I just want what I have already paid for!!! Dont think I am asking too much.

Like you say a mass e-mail to keep people in the picture would not take 2 mins!!!!

Just got a dispatch email (I ordered on the 10th)! They stuck true to their word. ;)

I ordered a 2nd Nook on 16th may this one arrived on sat 18th may, but the nook I ordered 10th may is still showing as 'placed' think I can feel a letter of complaint coming on!!!!! Not that it will do any good!!!!
