Normende was a German manufacturer. It's now merely a "brand" used by Kal group for imported products.

However, great price!

NordMende is a range of high quality audio visual and white goods available in the island of Ireland. Owned by the KAL Group, the new NordMende brand was officially launched in their Dublin based headquarters in August 2008 and attended by Ireland’s Minister for Finance, Brian Lenihan. With the strap line Home Economics, the brand stands for well-designed, higher than average specification products at affordable prices.

The NordMende name originates from Germany where NordMende was a manufacturer of entertainment electronics based in the city of Bremen. It is still recognised as a brand name associated with audio/visual products throughout the world but is perhaps now best known in Ireland thanks to the KAL Group.

In 2002, the KAL Group bought the Irish distribution rights to the NordMende name and in 2008 launched a range of white goods including fridges, freezers, washing machines and dishwashers alongside a revamped range of high specification flat screen LCD televisions and stereos.

With the strap lines 'Home Economics' and ‘It all adds up’ and the idea that modern consumers demand much more for their money, the product range boasts great design, higher than average specifications and affordable prices.

NordMende is currently sponsoring the Midweek Movie on RTE1, starting on Wednesday 3rd September with distinctive stings which feature the entire watch, listen, cook, clean, cool range.

I think this is the Normende NU323LD.

Edit: If so, it's a tad more expensive at Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/32-LCD-TV-with-Freeview/dp/B001QUOZ90

Curiously, Amazon say its got a "12 years manufacturers warranty". Surely this can't be true??!

Only been operating in the UK via this website for around 6m it seems. However they've featured a lot on here, and on Quidco over the period and not read anything contrary. If you do a Google you find plenty about their French origins and BusinessWeek writeups etc. You could put your dark glasses on and then look at their main site in France, ie
http://www.cdiscount.com/home/default.asp
however as advised worth putting on shades first as it is about the busiest/most-garish ecommerce site I've ever seen (eg makes Lidl's website look totally conservative/tame!).

As with ANY remote purchase worth ensuring your over £100 purchase is paid for by UK credit card so that credit provider is equally liable to you in law.

If you have a box room yes!;-)

Been thinking about picking up another 32 inch for the lounge (we have one in the bedroom set up for consoles/pcs etc.) - the 3 instalment scheme looks like it would make it even easier! Hugely tempted...

Seemingly some reviews here on Amazon.de - can't understand the German personally, Babelfish makes a fair stab at translating them, but just going by the stars awarded looks ok.

Has anyone got one of these yet? Is it wall mountable with a standard VESA mount?

I did find last night but didn't post it here because a number of the online reviews I found were not favourable. I can't find them now but there was a couple of DOA's and a few first week breakdowns.

For £250, its probably good enough for a bit of gaming!

Also....quite a few video inputs:

3 x HDMI
2 x Component
3 x Scart
1 x PC
1 x A/V

through we don t know which model is it we blindly choose the model lol

All four 32" models on the Nordmende website use the same Samsung panel so I'd guess it's the one I posted as the pic on CDiscount matches the N323 LD. The same model is on sale on Amazon and on there it has a 10000 contrast ratio.

Cheers OP, my Samsung 32" for the bedroom is having problems with HDCP and SKY+ HD so I'm going to contact samsung to try getting it fixed.

In the meantime, this sounds a good alternative and has 3x HDMI and from searching reveals that is also HDCP compatible so should be a good!
