I've been using PIA for the past month and out of the two it would be my choice of VPN over Nord.

I've been using VPN Unlimited for last few weeks - very impressed. Good speeds, service response, 5 devices and a silly cheap lifetime subscription ($30).
Who knows how long it will last but at that price it's cheaper than many 1 year deals!

NordVPN leak your dns address while connected and so not the best for privacy but better than no vpn.

NordVPN is one of the most recommended VPNs out there. If you go into settings/Advanced settings there is a slider to turn on the DNS protection. Making it Very safe. Hope this helps.

Not all VPNs were created equal...

If you want to make an informed choice study this chart.

Opera browser "VPN" is actually a proxy, and Opera Free VPN mobile app has certain restrictions e.g. attempt to torrent and you will incur the wrath of some agitated vikings.

I'd love to do that, but reading the site, just sounds way to complicated for someone like me.

Meanwhile, i have pia and Nord, and would recommend Nord. Pia don't live up to their no logging claims. I'll only be renewing Nord this year. And yes they offer DNS protection, use TOR alongside it and your fine.

I've been using NORDVPN for the past 9 months. Mainly as a proxy but recently with a Openwrt Access Point / Router. The proxy was fine and but when I use the router I find it just stops working and I have to reconnect the VPN. I've found the same with the software client.

I don't have the same issue with CyberGhost or another one I use. So I won't be renewing will probably go back to PIA when I can find a deal.

I thought someone had taken it to the europen court as its illegal under europenan law having a presumption of guilt?
It may not come in yet.

Still doing a month with airvpn for the hols

Don't bother with them! I bought their 2year winter deal believing all the hype and realised within 2-3 days that the service was terrible, intermittent, slow, web pages hanging forever, games connectivity at a crawl! I have now asked THREE TIMES for a full refund under their "30 day money back guarantee
for accounts in good standing" (I paid in advance as per the deal, so over 60 quid!) and they are ignoring my messages! Going to have to take the matter to my Credit Card issuer it looks like now, so steer well clear!

The government said they will make a robust case to the European Courts for this privacy invading bill. The outcome could still go in their favour. I recommend everyone get a VPN.

Yes i would recommend the same.
Even if the snooping is done illegally the security services have been retrospectively let off the hook before!

Where is democracy when the government hide that they are logging their voters website visits and keeping a secret under "emergency powers".

Oh dear, how exactly will the government get this information from viewing the URL of the websites I have visited (which is the scope of this new bill)? They won't will they, however of course they know it already
