Quick, that fella's died, let's get some of his old stock out and see if we can make a few bob. Better still, let's increase the price by a few quid. We're on to a winner 'ere!

Wow i think u guys are either overreacting or missing his point.

When i first saw this deal, I was thinking exactly the same thing, this is a little quick for retailers to be cashing in on his death, and the prices of these have also risen. And you call him shameful??

Voted cold, wait for the man to at least be buried before you start cashing in zavvi ffs

Quite frankly, I dont see what the problem is here. It is quite nomal when a well known entertainer dies for the public's interest in their work to increase for a while e.g.Michael Jackson. Retailers survive by meeting demand at the best prices they can achieve. Supply and demand and all that. £17.85 for 12 dvd's seems a good deal to me and promoting it so soon after his demise isn't the slightest bit disrespectful IMHO. I liked and respected Norman as a person but the thought of watching all those films back to back brings me out in a cold sweat!

He is a local hero where i live - its where he has lived for years and did huge amounts of work for charity before he died - so there is no disrespect meant.

This is actually cheaper than it was a couple of weeks ago when i looked to order it for a friend - and a similar price to what it was 6 months ago - so i don't think they are cashing in - i just thought it was a good price for some fun family friendly films ;)

Hot deal, I see there is some company taking out full page adverts in the newspapers selling this for £29.99

Thx OP been waiting for this to go back down for a while.

Picked up this and Live on Stage DVD from the HUT but for some reason the £2 off a £20 spend QuidCo voucher didn't work although it stated it was in my basket at checkout, raised a query with them.

Maybe some are doing this but its not the case here. This has been knocking around at this price on & off for the past couple of years, so this isn't a case of trying to cash in. Anyway, its fitting that its posted as a tribute and a good deal, and for me it satisfies both. Lets keep the chat to complimenting the deal and paying tribute to Norman.

The Chaplin collection would be better value. Unless you're Albanian.

If you are talking about the excellent MK2 collection then thats pretty difficult to get hold of these days (out of print I think), but it is a great set too.

But you work for HotUKDeals don't you, who take an affiliate payment when people click through to purchase this item. You didn't post it 6 months ago, but you saw fit to post it a few days after Wisdom died. I'm not remarking on this deal per se, just the cynical nature of all of this. No one gave a monkey's about Wisdom's work in the last 30 years.

i do not work for this site - and i certainly do not get paid.

I, actually, really like Norman Wisdom - not only do i think he was a very talented man - he has also raised thousands of pounds for charity where i live and has done lots and lots of work in the local community - he used to walk down the street and talk to everyone etc - he was lovely before he became ill and had to go in a local home - please don't assume otherwise.

And actually, i did post this last itme it was on offer if you look - five months and 3 weeks ago - http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/norman-wisdom-collection-12-dvd-set/658149

yep, he was very popular over here and I'm sure there is going to be a huge turnout for his funeral, the place will come to a standstill

Lucerysmum has no role within HUKD other than being a super member who goes out of their way and spends a significant amount of time and effort to assist others.

If you don't like the deal, consider linking to a cheaper price elsewhere so that others may benefit.

A unique man.
I bought his DVD box-set collection ages & ages ago when I suppose some money went to him whilst he was living
All profits now obviously go to his family, and judging by the alleged things I've read, I'm not sure that's a good thing.
