Symantec Norton 360 All-in-one Security V3.0 overview
Guarantee the safety of your PC and identity with the Norton 360 Version 3.0 All-in-one Security. Now lighter and faster than the competition, the 360 3.0 is a fully automated system that provides 24 hour security to protect you online from viruses, worms, phishing, spyware and hackers.

Updated, version 3.0 of the 360 runs quicker and use less memory, so the performance of your PC will not be compromised. Botnets are blocked to prevent from taking over your PC and accessing your personal information, giving you peace of mind to bank and shop online. Furthermore, the 360 will warn you of any suspect websites or dubious sellers, and identify any fraudulent sites.

With 2GB of online storage (you have the option to buy more if you need it), you can ensure your files are safe with the 360's automatic back-up function. The system also checks for virus definitions every 5 to 15 minutes and then downloads then automatically. Both features run when the system is idle or in the background, leaving you to carry on working at your PC without interruption.

The Norton 360 Version 3.0 All-in-one Security also provides some housekeeping functions to keep your PC running efficiently. The system works to solve typical PC problems, deletes redundant files and defrags your hard drive. There is FREE round the clock technical support with the NortonTM Automatic Renewal Service to keep your informed when you need to update your subscription.

Hi
Thanks for posting. And welcome to HUKD.
It is good practice to also add the merchant and price to the title. It helps people who are just browsing through. And in my experience your post will get a few more “hot” votes.
Emmajk42 / Juliet_Bravo wrote a couple of very comprehensive and excellent guides for newcomers to HUKD here: - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/145906/newcomers-advice-on-hotukdeals-gene/

They are well worth taking a look at.
Again, thanks for posting, and welcome to HUKD.
Kind regards Andy

I wouldnt buy this if I were you. If ever you want to uninstall it, it can be a real problem. I tried to uninstall (in order to use another program) - subsequently had to do complete system reinstall. It leaves loads behind which can conflict with new virus protection. Not cheap at this price either - IMO!!

NIS 2009 and 360v3 use the same engine - i.e. all the rave reviews 2009 gets 360 v3 gets too.

fair enough - I was trying to point out how bad free avg is now

lost count of the number of times I have read people on here state they have had viruses on their pc's go undetected by AVG for yonks which they only found when switching to kaspersky etc

I work in IT and have had issues with Norton not unistalling properly using the correct unistall procedure. on some machines. Personally i steer well clear of Norton as it is too intrucive for my liking, i like a programs that do their job well but run mainly in the background and dont bother you unless there is need for it.

I wouldn't touch Norton products. Avast is free, lightweight and effective.

Thanks to both of you, that's enough to stop me going back to Norton. Now I just need to find something better than Avira.

I thought Avira was meant to be highly rated as an antivirus package. Don't know about their all-in-one Security Suite package.

You are correct it is highly rated, but it is far from faultless. It says that some items are viruses when they are not, when you search for information about an alleged virus you find that Avira have given it a name that only they recognise and the information they offer about it, is inadequate.

I'm sorry norton hasn't worked out for you guys, but this post was mainly meant for those out there who use norton, don't encounter problems with it and are looking for a good deal now their subscription is up or nearing it's end. Was it such a bad idea to post this? If it was, pls say so and i'll remove it.
