three friends all keep catching viruses and all using norton not recommended at all
#8
Yeah keep this rubish away from your computer.
#9
well anyone can say its rubbish without actually explaining why. I've had norton before and never had any problems. If they keep catching virus' its probably due to the type of sites they visit.

Actually i'm willing to admit it looks likei'm wrong on this one and they've made real efforts to improve over their previously shocking editions,

you tried installing it and i mean ALL off it. I uninstalled it searched the registry and it was still scattered everywhere and it let through ANYTHING.

use AVG Free, it's free and does a much better job than norton imo

Plenty of free options for domestic users out there. AVG, Avast and comodo are all excellent.

I use norton 3.0 as of the past 2 months. Did have 2.0 and found it made the computer lag. no probs with new one.
everyone has there own opinon of what is good and what is bad.

Yep probably type of sites people are using but that said I stopped using it about 18 months
ago because it slowed the pc down to a crawl, kept losing network settings and genreally wanted to take over the whole computer, this happend on a number of PC's I deal with at work and just caused me hassel so it went, we now use AVG which you can get free if your a home user.

yea i know what you mean. they can be system resource hogs and unless you have a pretty new pc they will kill it. that i agree. any chance of an unexpire?
