OK so there's going to be people that hate Norton products, but for those that don't - This is an absolute steal!

You get to put it on 3 machines for less than 25 quid! - it normally costs double that!

Norton anti virus costs £39.99 on it's own - you get it included with Internet Security and personal firewall, antispyware, antiphishing, and identity safe.

This was in the Chester store, though I imagine it's nationwide as they were correctly stickered up and the shelf labels confirmed the price to be £24.99.

Love it or loathe it, a year's cover for £8.33 per machine is pretty good going!

Cheers JB --

typical though a cold voter already, without the common courtesy to say why - obviously not a fan of Norton!
I'm an IT technician and I always uninstall it and download AVG anti virus and anti spy ware - they are FREE and not resource hogs like Norton.

I've never had a problem with Norton products and have been using them for years and years. Then again my PCs have always been real beasts!!!
If you don' have 3 PCs to protect, Scan will sell you an OEM version for 1 PC for £10.56 + p&p
AVG and Spybot all day long. Cheaper than £24.99!
If you want to slow your PC down and make it run like a dog, then install Nortons.
Over 20 years experience in IT, and everyone I know runs AVG instead.
bought this and took it back as it slowed my system down :x
swapped it for norton 360 no such problems :-D
To be fair this is a decent price for a 'big brand' name, and for people with a computer thats fast enough to counter the slow down its ok. Personally my 2007 edition has just expired and I wouldn't use them again for the internet security package as it slowed my PC boot-up time to 5 mins+. I could have got a new 2007 edition for £8 the other day and upgraded to 2008 for free but I passed on it. Plus I had loads of trouble with Norton GoBack software and the customer services were a waste of time - had to borrow a Windows disc and repair XP in the end.

BTW if anyone wants to throw some more recommended free Anti-Virus software names at me as my Norton has expired I would be gratefull!
Hmmm, AVG Internet Secutity £31.95.....
but, if you're getting the antivirus for free.....
I think AVG is best free anti virus but Avast is good too
The free version of AVG Anti-virus is recommended. I've used it a few years now with no problems.
ZoneAlarm is another top free one.
Thanks for the options, sounds like AVG for anti-virus then . I remember using Zone Alarm a long time ago, must have been around for ages! I used to use it to stop the kids accessing the internet when they'd been naughty :)
ZoneAlarm is a firewall not an antivirus product, I use AVG (free) and Comodo Firewall with Vista, backed up by SuperAntispyware and AdAware , can also recommend Spyware Terminator which is free and has realtime protection which I used on my XP machine, about once a month (or when I remember) I follow up using Kaspersky online scanner.
Three things....antivirus, firewall and antispyware...oh, and be sensible with your surfing. Use SiteAdvisor to help keep you away from dodgy sites.

lol whatever:p
Has anyone else noticed how much sexier Peter Norton is looking these days?

Google pack gives you Spyware Doctor for free; if you don't like Spybot S&D.
