I just got back on Saturday after flying with them for a holiday to Iceland for my wife's birthday. Would definitely recommend this airline and the destination, absolutely beautiful country. Very cold and very expensive though, definitely more of a couples destination than a family holiday

If you do go I'd also recommend staying somewhere in the mountains rather than in the city for the best chance of seeing the northern lights. We were lucky and saw them 2 out of the 4 nights we stayed there ("Hotel Laxnes" was where we stayed, again I would really recommend there)

Just returned from Boston having flown Norwegian for £199 return p/p. First time I've used them and absolutely won'rt be the last. Great planes, nice staff and decent enough legroom on the route we flew.

Indeed. Was nice to even have it when flying from Oslo to Longyearbyen in November. I think it cut out eventually somewhere up above about 75ºN, but hey... can't complain!

They are wanting £680 for the flights we need to the USA. That's before baggage. Even BA are cheaper and includes a connecting flight.

I've just booked Norwegian to Boston for next New Year, 29th Dec for a week, back in time for school. Came in at £1150 for a family of 4, and paid £200ish extra for legroom seats both ways, can't see that being much cheaper in any sale but I'll be gutted if it goes down, £199 is ace!
Any recommendations for Boston (bearing in kind we'll have 9 & 13yr olds with us)?

Anyone know if this will actually be good, based on experience?

I can't comment on likely prices for the flash sale but as an airline Norwegian are first-rate, their app works flawlessly for check-in, tickets, etc., everything runs perfectly as far as we have experienced, used them a few times for holidays to Scandinavia and Barcelona too. We even messed up the spelling of a name when buying a ticket for a relative and they fixed it over the phone, never once mentioning the £60 (I think it was) charge they quote in their T+Cs for such a change.

Great airline... but don't know about the flash sale, yet!

Went in August with 9 & 12 year olds. Freedom trail good - climb the Bunker Hill monument great views from the top. The T metro is good and cheap (free for under 12) and if you get day tickets inner ferries are included.

One money saving tip on arrival at Logan take the SL1 bus which is free and drops you in the subway beyond the ticket barriers. So you can get downtown from the airport free. Almost nowhere else in the world is that possible.

Have to disagree about Iceland being a couples holiday, we took the girls (5 and 8) and they loved it.

Cool, glad to hear u all enjoyed it. I just thought there didn't seem to be much for kids to do, but of course it depends what they're into

so where we going?

not sure yet, but I'm betting it will cost 3 x the amount to come back from the 'bargain' outbound flight! :)

Used them before & their prices were good without a sale.

Also have a flight booked already with them in the near future, & it was pretty good price too. If its cheap I'll buy a few flights tomorrow depending how far in advance you can get them.

Although the flights have wifi, & I've used it on a few flights from a few companies now, its always crap.

Agreed. We were there for a family wedding and the kids loved it.

I hate low cost airlines that charge for baggage , food and drink etc..

But then again BA have gone low cost now the scumbags, so there really isn't any real full service airlines left in the U.K., well not for short haul anyway.

Sad times

Booked flights to Boston leaving in October for £199 all in! Cheeky couples trip away at that price!
Interested in seeing the destination for today's sale

We flew Gatwick-Fort Lauderdale, then NY to Gatwick. They were excellent and the food was the best I've ever had in the air.
