Was just doing a bit of window shopping and I noticed this.

For £4.97 I think it's a pretty good price considering on Fleabay they go for this price (without any good warranty).

These come with a 10 year warranty.

Perfect for anyone needing a cheap RAM upgrade?

When I was instore they only had 2 of these left!

These could be found in PCWorld as well but I am unsure.

Here is the SKU for anyone who cares to try:

SKU: 801223

A bigger picture for proof. Apologies for the poor quality as taken using my phone.

I bought a similar old memory with xx.97p , great value, the "97" means a lot of times 1 in 97 chance of ever finding one. But good post for people who happens to there anyway. This was what I bought for 97p : PC2-4300 DDR2 memory 512MB and it is still unused but it was cheap!

anything bigger(memory wise) on offer

Sorry unfortunately not. They do sell up to 2GB sticks but not at a price that I would call an "offer".

Hi Hellrazor
Good Post!! Can you help me at all!!
I was in Newtownabbey branch looking to buy a NoteBook. I only want it to use on holidays to be able to check emails/surf the net. I am just not sure what is the best buy and also I notice that Tesco N'Abbey are selling some NoteBooks at a good price. I was just wondering if you might have a bit more knowledge than myself with regards to which NoteBook to buy. Thanks in advance!

Hi mousey,

If you insist on buying from say instore, then really anything would do the job.

If you are purchasing a notebook with the intention of using it to word process, surf the internet etc then it is advised to purchase a 15inch / 15.6inch (if widescreen) notebook.

Anything around a price bracket of under 400 quid is reasonable.

However if I was tbh, I'd rather spend my money buying the Tesco notebooks rather than give any hard earned cash to Currys / PCWorld.

I have seen the Tesco offerings and they are decent for the price, also you get clubcard points which comes in handy ^^

If you don't mind buying online, then type into the Hotukdeals search bar for "laptops" and you'll have a good range.

As I said, anything around 15inch would be ideal for someone like yourself (assuming it's for internet usage and no gaming). Hope this helps!

If anyone would like to add anything / correct me please do so...

P.S. Currys and PCWorld website offer a range of refurbished laptops which may also be worth a look.
