Good price however I'd rather pay £2 more for a Western Digital and be happy that its a make i've heard of: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/128465

And its got 86 5 star reviews

Wow, from the photo I thought it was 2.5inch! ha, i thought that was a blinder of a price then. Like Jazzy tho, I'd go for a brand in this case. Step up people to badmouth WD now!
#8
No Touch may just be the manufactures name for the caddy and the hard drive inside may be that of a different manufacturer. This is generally the case.

I paid only 35 quid (delivered) for a 500Gb ATMT USB Drive fairly recently on here, and it turned out to be a Seagate drive inside - I could not have bought the bare drive for that money. The best policy in any case is have more than one backup copy of ANY file, then you need not worry too much whatever make it is![/SIZE]

Notouch are a very good brand, I work in the I.T industry as a purchaser, and they are a massive brand in non european countrys, highly recommended!
#14
BTW guys to confirm, this is NOT a passport drive?

I've been looking out for an external hard drive but I really wanted one that was powered off the usb port. I've see this one http://www.bigpockets.co.uk:80/product.php?nav=3&product=VERBATI117 at Big Pockets but don't know anything about it. Seems a good price but I didn't even know Verbatim made hard drives. Can anyone recommend it?

This or an Iomega 500GB external drive?

Dont mind paying extra as want a HD that will last and not just be a 12 month wonder.
#29
need a 250gb 2.5" for about £30.....

I've got one of these drives - and they are great! Good value for money! My drive has a Samsung drive inside. I hear they also use WD drives. Would definately recommend it to friends!!
