Colonic hydrotherapy is not only refreshing and invigorating, it can be potentially life saving, as demonstrating by Bear Grylls adrift on a raft in the Pacific Ocean. Whilst we at Groupon hope you are sufficiently landlubbered to not need that particular treatment, we feel the benefits of a professional colonic, using CLEAN water, are still worthwhile. Today's offer is £28 for a 90 minute hydrotherapy treatment at Natural Colon.

Andrea Ridgard is a highly experienced colonic hydrotherapist, having trained at one of the (ARCH) approved colonic hydrotherapy training colleges Andrea is the lead therapist at Natural Colon and has been a registered nurse since 1997. Under her supportive care we can guarantee that you will receive one of the best treatments available. With our usual eating behaviour exceedingly high quantities of denatured food poor in fibre, with too much fat and sugar, preservatives and other chemical additives, we put our intestines under permanent stress. We do not chew sufficiently and eat too hectically - all this, but also psychological problems can lead to troubles with the intestines and the digestion.

Colonic hydrotherapy or irrigation is a gentle internal bath using warm purified water that can help eliminate stored faecal matter, gas, mucus and toxic substances from your colon. The colonic itself will take around 30 – 45 minutes during which time water will be gently introduced into the colon via the rectum, whilst your therapist uses a massage technique on the abdomen to stimulate the release of stored faecal matter from the lining of the colon. Rest assured your dignity is maintained at all times throughout the treatment, even if Bear did choose to waive his and broadcast it on national TV.

Cold this just good old plain quackery. You are better spending on something that actually works.

Are any of these deals any good? I always wonder if they're just a "sample" ploy to get you to spend more cash. They had a botox deal in Glasgow a while ago but didn't say how much extra areas would cost, which I thought was a bit sneaky.

Sticking a hose pipe up your jacksy will only make digestive problems worse.

What could be extra on top of this treatment anyway? Happy finish?

I'm assuming that's an attempt at wit. I'm talking about botox injections, not colonic irrigation.

It would be nice if someone would give me a useful reply, it's a genuine question about whether they try to rip you off with inflated extra prices.

As an alternative AND cheaper AND more enjoyable, I'd recommend 10 pints of Joey Holts and a madrass...

As for this, you know what you can do with it...

How can the get away with saying natural in this advert?... surely if nature wanted us to wash our colon out with clean water, we would have been fitted with a hose pipe connector!!

I'm all for looking after your body but this is too.. too much!!

I can't give you the answer, I'm sorry - but did wonder the same thing. It didn't add specifics, such as whether both eyes would be done counting as 1 treatment, or if they would have been 2 treatments. I didn't want to walk out with just 1 eye done, and - at weekends - when a lot of these deals are posted, who do you find the answer from?

Otherwise, for colon cleanse - I think they'd have better luck selling a quick trial treatment, as 90 minutes, for a 1st timer, could be a little overwhelming, without knowing whether you can take a pipe in that area.
