I'm also in the same position to look for a big TFT for general use, but with gaming as a priority too. I am no expert with TFT either, but I have been keeping my eyes on the IIyama B2712HDS, the cheapest is Amazon for £260 and only 1920 x 1080 with 2ms (Yup, I know, take these figures with a pinch of salt), also only 27".

The price for your TFT seems pretty good, but I rather go for a brand that I trust, just my opinion and welcome to others views as well. Not voting.

David, doesn't look like you'll get a lot of 'sensible' replies from here. I would strongly suggest you post your question on http://www.AVForums.com, a brilliant web site with a lot of helpful advice.

Hope that helps.

BTW, did you decide whether to go for this in the end or not? I'm still looking at the IIyama.
