Most "proper" retailers have the board as out of stock or discontinued, these days,

While it might not be the fastest on earth for games, it is perfect for XBMC live and just works out of the box, it also seems to output Dolby DTS to my AV amp quite happily.
Why the hell would I want this card? Some of the motherboards provide a vga output, but they don't have an onboard video card, and only work if the actual CPU has an embedded gpu (for example the Intel G6950 one), but not all CPUs have an embedded gpu (such as the i7 950).
So some people want one of these just to be able to plug the computer to a screen and nothing more.
And also, like some people mentioned, these cards use very little power, ~ 28W at ""full speed"": http://forums.atomicmpc.com.au/index.php?showtopic=264
If you have a mobo/bios that supports PCIe 2.1, then the HD6450 is the card to go for. It also uses very little power.
