Agreed, red hot if you are after an iPhone 4.
I pay O2 the same for a lot less minutes and the phone cost me £180.
Hot, but wait for the Apple haters!

Good deal if you're planning to keep it for a while and can take a 24 month contract
#7
really cheap. but i'll never go with 3 again. £140 less than I'll pay over a year for mine.

Voted hot.
#8
Got this deal on launch. Very good!
#9
Typical. Just got one for my daughter's birthday last Friday.
Instore deal only at the time and now missed the cashback.

Oh Well. :)
#10
iPhone 4 itself is poor on signals on top of that i'ts on poorest network from my past three years experience with 3............

yep-its ridiculous-and three have a huge store in silverburn-I can get full bars on any network in my house and ZERO three reception-why can every other network work but not theirs? you can actually sit in the car and drive about watching their bars go up and down(usually to zero)-tis weird!

three are currently the largest shareholders in a company which own a large 3G network infrastuture in this country. They are currently partnered by T-mobile. Orange and T-mobile have just merged and orange are bringing their 3G infrastructure to the company in the not to distant future. This should mean the largest 3G network in the country will be available to all 3, T-mob and Orange customers.
#13
This looks a great deal. Can someone explain how i can get the Quidco, please? I've registered to that site but cannot find a link for this deal.

Any help is much appreciated,

G.

i think the mergers only for the 2G side of things

Great deal, thanks! :)

nah its only orange and t mobile that have merged ! to make "everything everywhere" nothing to do with three!

I have never used 3 for mobile phone but I live out in the sticks and use 3 for mobile broadband and I get a 3G signal here on their 3 ZTE dongle whereas with a T Mobile dongle and an 02 dongle I can only get a 2G signal.

I put off joining for a while because of all the reports about poor 3 customer service, and that may be true.

I thought if their 3 mobile broadband dongle is good where I am then their mobile phone service would be good and I have thought about using them for mobile phone as well.

Disappointed to hear that some get a poor 3 signal on their mobile phone.

I thought they had the widest coverage and the most masts.

You just go on quidco and type in 3 or three, that will give you a link to the website. Click on the link and it should take you there then just order as you would normally.

However, tooooo many bad experiences with the network and poor reviews from too many people about them I would avoid if I could, brilliant deal though.

Good deal!

I bought a cheap Three mobile with a PAYG SIM just to give it a try. I've been quite impressed with coverage and signal quality in London and southern England. Certainly beats Orange which I use at the moment. I haven't been further afield with it yet.
#21
3 is terrible.
#22
That seems like a great deal actually. Nice find. Shame it's 3 tho.. they have a very poor reputation!
#23
two year deal though
#24
Who do 3 use when you can't get a phone signal (just for making calls), is it Orange?

If its Orange does that mean that three users will soon be able to use T mobile as well?
#25
good deal
does anyone know how long the contract is for?
#26
I have never had a problem with 3.

I would sign up but I have 6 months lleft on my contract.

3 already piggy back on the 2g networks of both T mobile and Orange, the new merger between Orange & T mobile wont change that at all. 3 have been increasing the masks for 3g in the UK this year and have hit each target they've set. In July they had 85% coverage in the UK and this should be 92% by the end of September and 97% when they finish work in December. Might be worth getting a free 3 sim and trying in your area again soon, you might notice the difference.
#28
good price but 24 month contract + 3's rubbish service balances things out...
#29
3 used to be terrible but they really seem to have got there act together and have invested loads in there network coverage (unlike a lot of other major providers) - only downside I have with 3 is the customer service is based in India and there's always the language problem.
#30
Reckon there's any chance of getting my existing provider to price match it?
#31
I must admit even though 3 isn't the best network, this is a very good deal and I would be very tempted if I was out of contract.

But to people who are currently customers on Vodafone,Orange, 02 etc and are tempted to switch... I would recommend ringing up your existing Network and asking them to match this deal or you will have to leave. I always found that you get a lot more leverage on getting money off contracts when their competitors are offering a better deal. It's worth a punt!
#32
I bought the iPhone 4 unlocked from Apple for £499 and wanted a £15/month rolling contract or PAYG which all providers seem to do if you look hard enough.
I set myself off on the Three £15/month rolling contract. Useless! Cancelled by forced majeur after 2 weeks.
1. Terrible signal
2. Call and web connection continually drops as it roams to and fro between Orange GPRS and Three 3G (as per their agreement)
3. Appalling foreign call centre.
4. Even with strong signal and 3G, Internet was as low as 2 kps in the evenings as evidenced by speedtest.net. When calling them, they admitted they have too many customers to cope!
5. iPhone has antenna issues anyway, so I recommend a provider with a strong signal in the places you tend to be.

Not true, Three and T-Mobile share a 3G network run by a joint venture called "Mobile Broadband Network Limited". Orange customers will be migrated onto this for 3G services in due course. Detail is in BBC coverage of Everything Everywhere, or google it. Three have a roaming arrangement with Orange because they lack a GSM licence, so if you have no 3G coverage (which is typically poorer at penetrating buildings than GSM) you'll drop back to Orange.

If you've got no Three coverage, then you'd have no Orange coverage either, and no 3G coverage if you were on T-Mobile (and pretty soon, the same will be true of Orange 3G).
#34
This is so tempting, just out of curiosity, what if the unit was lost or broken, I'm guessing there's no insurance? And it will cost to cancel the contract if something happens to the phone? Thanks..
#35
I had a tinker with one in the Three store yesterday. It was connected via 3G and I've never experienced browsing so quick on a phone. I had to double check double check it wasn't on Wi-Fi!
#36
Not that good my mate got same deal but only paid £55 for the phone and got it over 18 months not 24
#37
Best 3g network in the UK, Great download speeds, shame it is a crappy phone.
#38
any nhs staff here know if we can still get 30% of the 3 network, or has that changed? i just may get this if that is the case, been wanting an iphone or a smartphone for ages now. is that white coloured one out yet?
#39
24 month contract = ouch.

I'm glad I got mine from Tesco on a 12 monther.

Paid a fair bit more for the phone, but avoided 12*35=£420 !!!
#40
Same price as buying it from Apple(£499) and getting the £10 a month(500mins unlimited text/internet) deal from Tesco...
24x£30+£100 phone - Quidco
24x£10+£499 phone
