how do these work??

You register with NowTV and activate the free months pass then plug in your box and you can access Sky Movies Channels (if you have a Movies pass) or a selection of entertainment channels (Ent. Pass) or sports with Sports Pass.
You will also get apps on the box like BBCi,4OD,5OD etc

You can also install a media server app called plex which allows you to stream videos/movies etc from another PC and you can also install apps into Plex that will give you access to other channels.

wow thanks!!

so you know for the 4 month entertainment package..

do I pay the £12.98 per month or just one off?

where do I go to see what channels are included in the package and finally after the 4 months.. is there a monthly charge for using this box?

You pay for the box which in this instance includes 4 months free entertainment, after the 4 months it's £4.99 a month to continue the service.
These are the current channels:

Still can't understand what is so special about sky sports that you only get 1 day which is worth about £10 or you could have movies for 3 months which is worth around £30 ???
#9
Is there no option to pay for sports monthly? Don't see the point in paying a full sky package when I'd only use the sports so this would make sense

Really? If you pay via PayPal you really don't have anything to worry about.

I can't believe people still ask those questions these days. Sure there are companies that will scam people but the majority of stores are safe to use. If it's posted on here then it's safe.

I'm just having an argument with NowTV.
Registered mine today but used the same card as I did when registered a box for my Parents a year ago.
They just wanted a box to get iPlayer on their TV so I used my card to get them started.
When I registered my own account and for a free 30 day movie trial today, they charged me £8.99 for it because of the above
No message to say it would happen, only an email afterwards with today's charge on it.
Not impressed

I registered my account yesterday for the ent pass and used a card I had previously used for a movies trial months ago (totally forgot about the prvious trial at the time)

So after my ent pass was activated it asked if I wanted a 30 day movie trial but no matter what I couldn't do it because I had previously had a trial.

I emailed support and complained and told them that when i had the movie trial months ago I didn't even use it (didn't watch anyth) and that they cocked up and charged me when I had cancelled in goodtime.

Got sent a voucher code for a free month earlier as an apology!

So I would try the email route rather than call/live chat and keep complaining

Yes the passes in these packs are vouchers with codes they will work on any account, you can also use one account on two devices simultaneously.

Finally got my £8.99 back after some persuasion
They admitted that their website just takes £8.99 off you if you try and activate the free trial but have used the same credit card before on a different account. The right thing to do would be to just stop the transaction.
They cancelled my month pass though.
I have decided to sell the four month entertainment pass and just keep the box for catch up.
They won't be seeing me as a paying customer now.

I thought the same. But i suppose people choose cleverly on what day to use it (probably a super sunday football feast). Once i looked at it like that, i can see why people buy it. But still, it's a total rip off. If you want Sky sports you're better off getting sky TV. If these sky sports day passes were £2-3 i could really see it working. But who in their right mind would want to pay £10 a day, which works out at £300 a month if you buy it every day for a month.
#22
Then don't buy the day passes on ebay for £2-£3 per day

Saw this already but it's on back order. It's been that way for a while now. Their ebay site has them in stock but it's slightly more expensive. Can't see ShopTo proper getting this back any time soon.

Duh...if your team is only on sky once a month..then its cheaper to pay £10 than pay £40 a month for sky subs plus ssp.

Not hard is it?

When I checked the live games being show in August and September I'm sure Manchester United are only on Sky twice in those two months.

Don't know about you, but if i were willing to pay £10 to watch 1 game i would rather buy a ticket and go to the game itself. If i was to spend £10 to watch 1 game a month, i would be more willing to pay £40 a month for about 50+ games. This will always have a market as long as people such as you are willing to pay £10 to watch 1 day of sports. £10 for 1 day is a bigger rip off then £40 a month, so it's funny when people think they're getting a deal. Although you do save money compared to the full package, that doesn't mean it's a worth it.

Have you been to a match recently?

£40 for a ticket... £8 parking... £10 for 2 bevvies.

Now £10 for one game is good value.
