This is why I despise this community. I ask a simple question and I'm answered with sarcastic answers. It's a legitimate question as for all I know the entertainment pass may not have good channels or vice versa.

Yes, but it is a difficult question to answer, a very general, sweeping question, not really a simple one. I don't condone the tone of the replies, but what do you mean by "good channels" - could possibly be different to everyone else?

A simple search of what is available under each pass will give you an idea of what is available (but up to you whether they're good). However, if you had a more specific emphasis to your question, such as how frequently they update new movies or shows, or how long they remain available, you'd probably get a more helpful answer.

I only have used the movies and find it good, as was on the initial free trial and then offered a cheap monthly fee for several months when I went to cancel. Although sometimes it can be frustrating as not all related movies always available, e.g. second Jack Reacher recently added, but I haven't seen the first one and that's not currently available.

Do forgive us please, the correct answer is Entertainment. Sorry, I meant Movies.

Do you have to use the passes on the box? I have no use for the box but would like to use the pass on my BT box.

You should be able to use the pass on your current account with NOW TV.

Has anyone bought one of these?

Does anyone know how long before the expiry dates on the pass?

You can add the Passes to any NowTV account, they normally expire around 6 to12 months of release, if they do expire a quick chat with NowTV should sort it.

Dont bother selling the Passes on the Bay, too many Scammers now will activate them then report to eBay they dont work and get refunded, and theres nothing you can do about it.

I picked up a 4 month kids pass yesterday for £15 in tesco. Had movie and entertainment packaging for same price. Also on direct

You maybe aware of this but I tried accessing NowTV from a BT dtr-t2100 box and found out it only supported the Movies pack. Something to do with Sky not being happy about how much they have to be on the platform. So ok if you want to watch the movie pack.

Are you signed up for monthly payments or can you cancel at end of free 4 months.

If i setup an account with a pass can i use my account on 2 devices at the same time??
for example : I watch 1 program on the TV downstairs and she can watch another on a TV in another room.??
(2 boxes.. 1 account)

never mind.! just found this on the NowTV site....

You can add up to 4 devices and watch on 2 devices at the same time.
Once you’ve added 4 devices, you can make 1 change to your devices each calendar month.

Well if you want to watch movies then the Movies Pass is better. And if you want to watch entertainment tv channels then the Entertainment Pass is better, only you know what you'd prefer to watch.

I pick up NOW TV Movies every now and then for £1 to ~£2 a month which is a lot less than Netflix although Netflix has more than just films included in the price.

That's £15 for a 3 month Entertainment pass or a 2 month Sky Cinema pass - this deal is better, although they've now run out of Entertainment bundles.

I prefer the Entertainment pass, although I usually try and obtain a movie pass around Christmas when the big movies are released. There's a lot of box sets which you can binge watch.

I'm looking into an Ent pass but I don't know what box sets it has?

Do I get this now or wait till next month just before game of thrones come out. This was actually the only reason I had a Sky subscription and having the now TV box has saved me a lot of money

Well apparently S7 of GoT only has 7 episodes, is that correct? If that's the case, then 6 months would easily cover that. Get it now.

You ask a question to a community you despise? Probably serves you right that you got sarky responses then.

Ps it was a daft question anyway as taste is subjective. Why don't you look at the channels list and see if the output is to your liking? All this is available, just google it.

I'm sorry but my answer wasn't a sarcastic one, it was a straight one, only you know what you want to watch. If you fancy catching up on some movies and seeing releases when they come to Sky then you'll need the Movie pass. But if you fancy watching tv shows from Sky 1 and Sky Atlantic (such as Game Of Thrones, 24: Live Another Day, Ballers, Jamestown, Boardwalk Empire, etc) or from Comedy Central for example then you'll need an Entertainment pass. No-one here can decide for you whether you want to watch movies or tv shows, it's just a decision that you make yourself after looking at what they have available on each and seeing what personally appeals to you. No sarcasm, just an honest answer.

You don't have to use the code right away so buy it now.

I got the similar promotion from Argos a few weeks ago and am holding back using the code until Game of Thrones starts next month. By doing that, the 6 month licence will get you through Christmas and into January 2018.

Don't forget to cancel the subscription before the end otherwise you'll get stung for a month at the full price from mid January onwards.

Happy viewing!

I have both, with amazon too. All have their merits, although now pips it for me for the choice of movies and HBO content

Netflix best for tv shows (slightly better than nowtv and much better than amazon). Now TV by far the best for movies. Amazon obviously has its own benefits - amazon music (excellent) and prime delivery. IMHO
